35% for eternity I guess. Don't sign that crummy contract. Write your own contract to get the ball rolling. To me, it doesn't sound like the guy is in any position to make Happyland popular. But maybe he knows important people? Or not. The money must be tempting, though. If his plan is to release f...

This could be a huge break for you, so congratulations. Does the contract mean that you are signing away 35% of all future profits, into eternity? Because if that's what it means, that is bad. I doubt any other company would ever invest in Happyland if they knew you had signed away 35% of the profit...

I know it runs the risk of being too cold and abstract which may not work well with kids, but at least its simple and clear.[/img] The simple gray line does not appear cold and abstract to me. The line reminds me of how a child will draw a line on a white sheet of paper, and will then draw things o...

So far, I think the "dead simple" gray line works best. To my eyes, your hill-tree-sky backgrounds have a tendency to diminish the power of the characters. The characters seem to be most effective when not competing for my attention with the background, and become less interesting as the b...

Lovely work, as always, Mikdog. Maybe try a colorful backgound, all sorts of colors, and then lighten it and desaturate until the colors are hazy and pastel, so the background will become very distinct from the characters. Also maybe try graduating the sky, from light blue at the horizon to blue at ...

Welcome back!

Who are these "others"? I'd like to check out their websites and maybe buy their dvds.

This is what I did to your file to make it work like I think you want it to work: I selected "Layer 4" (the Switch layer)... I chose the "Bind Layer" tool... I clicked on the ROOT bone (the bone the hands are connected to)... ...and that was it. The hands moved independently of t...

Different frame rates in the same scene

The ability to employ 2 or more different frame rates in the same scene would be a useful advancement. For example, a bone layer containing a rigged character could be set to 5 fps. The switch layer for that character's mouths could be set to 15 fps. And the pan and zoom tools could be set to 30 fps...

Re: What can I do?

Maybe you could earn a little money by transforming other people's sketches into vector art, or by rigging characters for animation.

But first you should provide examples of your art. For example, you might take screenshots of your vector art and post them in this thread.

Good luck.

Re: cant read the serial code

Try copying and pasting the code from the email they sent (if you bought a downloaded version)--then everything should be perfect, whether you understand it or not.

I think I know the trouble... There is an awesome new feature that keeps a person from drawing in frames other than zero by accident. Go to Preferences and look for "Enable drawing tools only on frame 0." Uncheck that box and you'll be able to make new vector layers and so forth in frames ...

Maybe you wanted to allow the creative possibilty of something moving behind the couch while animating?

Your posts are sarcastic, acid in tone, and overly defensive, so you seem plenty mad. But whatever.

If you are only doing flash cards, you might try changing your frame rate to 4 frames per second, or less. At 4 fps, you can make a movie 12.5 minutes long.
