Revert to Default binding?

I was using Manual Binding for a simple animation, and now I want to go back to using Flexible binding, but I can't. It seems Moho will only accept manual binding on this shape. Even if I make a copy of it, and make a new skeleton, it won't work until I apply manual binding. How do I go back to defa...

Interesting. But why do you use bone layers within bone layers? Is there an advantage to doing this versus just using a single bone layer with more bones? Also, are you using Flexible, Region or Manual Bone Binding? This might actually be the answer to my question. If you're not using Manual Binding...

Wait a minute... are you talking about multiple BONE LAYERS each attached to a single vector layer, or multiple VECTOR LAYERS nested inside ONE bone layer?

I think I just misunderstood what you were saying.

Ok, I'm running WinXP-Pro. In Moho (latest version) I have a 5-layered character assembled with several bones. I open the Actions window, and start a new action. While I'm in "action editing/creation mode" (manipulating bones, setting keyframes, etc.), if I hit, say, Ctrl-Z, or Ctrl-S, or ...

Make the "Lua console" shut the hell up!

It's not preventing me from working or anything, it's just annoying as hell. I'm working on an action, and if i hit any shortcuts, or select anything from the menubar, the Lua Console pops up and tells me that "Creating objects in the middle of an action can lead to unexpected results" (wh...

I find that so long as you plan your animation out ahead of time, a single bone layer is all I need.

When I try importing an .obj file, nothing happens... a new layer is created in Moho with that obj file's name, but nothing appears.

Help?

You shouldn't make a bone layer for each part you want to move, you should make One bone layer per character and have multiple bones. This should pretty much solve your problem, as you'd be able to keyframe the entire skeleton at once.

I recommend checking out the Bone tutorial.

Yeah, the first 7 or 8 seasons of Simpsons were still coloured and drawn on cells, but they eventually switched to digital colouring.

Do you mean that you want a bone to not affect anything? if you're using manual bone binding, you can just deselect any nodes it affects, and hit spacebar.

Is that what you're talking about?

I know the Simpsons still uses hand-drawn keyframes, but I don't know if they use software for in-betweening. I DO know they use software for colouring, since this prevents them from having to ship all of their cells to Korea.
