Re: How to make a action combining 2 smart bones?
What is happening is that both bones move the same points, so when you use both at once they are moving the points in ways that you do not like. The changes in point motion are cumulative, so the movement of the points is added together. I can think of a couple workarounds: Try to use only the point...

Re: What's he doing here?
Dumb question: I am trying to recreate Victor's sideways walking machine, and it looks similar, but the target bones will not move. Is there a setting on the target bone constriction that I missed? Everything looks the same, I have the position control bones referring to the correct targets, but the...

Re: ☺ The Snail joke
It must be kismet, or something. Been working on this guy since last month, on and off. There's not even a joke here, just a head turn (which took too darn long to complete). Thinking of incorporating him into a longer animation. Fun fact: Snails have been around since before the dinosaurs. 212992624

Re: ☺ The Snail joke ☺
You could try showing the passage of time visually, as well.
Perhaps have the snail crawling slowly back towards the door while whole years pass in the background (winter-> spring-> summer-> fall, and then back to winter, over and over again).

Re: Select Point Tool
When you go to select the eye whites, do you have the points showing? Bring up the appropriate layer, make sure you are on frame zero With the points showing, use the select points tool. If it works, the selected points should turn red. Not sure why you'd hit spacebar, try copy and pasting the selec...

Re: New improved Head Turn Technique!
I am trying to use this technique but all of the accompanying illustrations have disappeared from the original post. Is there a way I can find them in another forum? Or perhaps it's just me that can't see them, are they gone for anyone else too?

How do I set a keyframe for layer visibility?
I wish to turn off the visibility of a layer at a certain point in the animation. I have the option "Allow animated layer effects" turned on, but I can't seem to set a keyframe for visibility of the layer. I did a search for the term layer visibility, but the only things I found related to...

Re: Problem with point binding
Thanks for the help. I thought perhaps the problem came about because I had cut and pasted the points onto their new layer, then used "create shape" on the points in their new layer, instead of `creating' the shape on the old layer first, then moving it to the new one. But it doesn't seem ...

Re: Problem with point binding
All bone strengths are set to zero, now. (Though one bone had strength set at one. You could probably tell from the way the gradient in the eye moved. Anyway, now they are all set to zero). The problem started when I split the brow ridges off from their original shape on the skull layer and put them...

Problem with point binding
I have a problem with points bound to a bone moving in an odd way. This is illustrated in the MP4 posted below. 208907370 The screen cap on the right shows the bone in question. The points in the brow layer should rotate on the bone selected (the red bone in the screen cap). Instead they rotate in a...
