Re: at first he was all like caw, then he was like...caw
You must be loving the frame by frame. That bird is good. I'd say it's more of a love hate relationship. I'll love it when A: I actually figure out how to color things without causing the program to crash, and B: if i can actually figure out if feature is capable of doing what I want it to do. I wa...

color issue
So i'm animating this bird or whatever and I'm discovering a bunch of problems. I swear, i'm spending more time wrestling with the bugs in this program than I am actually animating. Take the fill color issue for instance. in the middle of trying to select a color, I just out of the blue, lose the ab...

Re: Freehand and lag
okay, so i've been messing around with it, and I think I've isolated the problem. It's the reference layers. When I create a reference layer, the program dies. I actually added a bunch of new frames to the bird cycle there, and there were absolutely no problems. So, I'll reserve judgement on referen...

Re: Freehand and lag
I don't understand what you mean. You want me to break fbf into individual layers?synthsin75 wrote:Yeah, with those specs your system should have no problems. Try Fuzatron's suggestions.
If those don't help, I'd do the FBF in segments, where I could hide previous FBF while working the latest bit.

Edit: i looked into the possibility, and I think you might be right about the ram. I can update to 16 easily, plus I've been looking for an excuse to do that anyways. Thanks for the reply.

Re: Freehand and lag
for further clarification, that was all done with freehand, sketched on a tablet. There are a ton of points in each frame. And for the record, I really hope this is a problem on my end because doing this is a very cathartic experience for me. I'd hate to see it fall apart due to software limitation ...

Re: I Will Quit My Job Today (music video) + Q&A
That's a hilarious concept. A roll of paper just quitting the function it was designed for. can't really say I blame it. Excellent presentation. It's loaded with personality, and at no point did I get a sense of stagnation, it held my attention all the way through, and the animation style just reall...

Freehand and lag
I have a question about using the freehand option. I posted this in general anime discussion and got no reply, i'm assuming its because it wasn't the right place to post it, so I'll throw it down here and try to rephrase it for clarity. In theory, this is actually a really cool option, but i appear ...

freehand and lag
general question about free handing with points. As I draw characters in the new version of AS, i notice that the program starts to lag when they get more complex. Is there a limit on how many points the programs infrastructure can comprehend before it crashes?

Re: I debated the fbf system. I stand corrected.
Now that is beautifully demented. LOVE IT! I have way too many ideas. I want to make a second narwhal cartoon where he rides his tricycle to a fast food restaurant run by penguins, I want to make a second Descending transmission (although every idea i get flows into elsewhere) I want to make a cart...
