Re: I'm done.
I've had some time to think about it. I'm still frustrated, but I think I'll give this another shot. I know that the fbf function that they're using is still new. It's young, and it is just built out of preexisting features, they just modified the switchlayers. In all honesty, I still don't see how ...

Re: I'm done.
Hi sargumphigaus, Not understanding why you are dumping AS when you said that AS9 worked perfectly for your needs? I do get the odd bug now and the only time I ever want to dump the software completely due to buggyness is only when testing Betas, hence they create backwards compatibility to at leas...

I'm done. (edit: okay lets talk about this)
This program is way too buggy. Everything that was once easy to use back when I was on AS9 (I never got AS10) is suddenly impossible to do. Yes, I know that the interface is subject to change per update. But when Fills just randomly stop matching strokes with the bucket tool, when the eyedropper jus...

Re: Eyedropper, fill, and brush issues
Sounds like you don't understand how saved styles work and are applied. The only reason everything on a layer would change is that you either have all shapes selected or are changing a saved style that is applied to everything. So you'd recommend instead of just adjusting a setting, establish a new...

Eyedropper, fill, and brush issues
I need to be able to go back to colors I've used in prior frames for the sake of reference, so I use the eyedropper tool to do that. I have specific stroke colors and stroke thicknesses in place for certain reasons. This is where the eyedropper comes in handy...in theory you click on it, and it will...

Re: WEBINAR: An Overview of frame-by-frame animation in ASP
this does however raise a new situation. Without GPU acceleration, the brush system is completely useless as it chokes the hell out of the software. Is GPU acceleration the only way to fix this? Are there no other workarounds?

Re: Video presented question about masking in FBF
So we have a solution. It was the GPU acceleration. It was messing with the system. Evidently AS11 doens't take too kindly to the radeon r9 290 series. Either way, I clicked on the bottom right tab down there and deactivated it and boom. Problem solved. If that is the case, try enabling the "Ch...

Re: WEBINAR: An Overview of frame-by-frame animation in ASP
I know what the problem is, it's your graphics card/driver, I get the same thing when I load up on my old ep121 tablet pc. It does render fine and if you go to the display settings in the bottom right corner of the display and turn OFF gpu acceleration , the masking will appear as it should. I just...

Re: Video presented question about masking in FBF
I swear to god, this program is trolling me...I created a new from scratch without using Chucky's template...and it worked...this time The Fill layer is the only layer set as "Add to mask" with everything else set to "Mask this layer" When I click on fill, the file that is establ...

Re: Video presented question about masking in FBF
You show creating a fill layer, but there is already one in the template. Is there anything on the existing fill layer? From what I have gathered, I think he adds the brand new fill layer to establish a definitive shape for that fill. The fill beneath, the one that already exists serves as a fill f...

Video presented question about masking in FBF
Okay, this is really driving me nuts. So nuts, that I made a video to help show you what I'm dealing with. I asked this question earlier, but I can't help but feel that the technicality jargon is a little difficult to follow. So I'm just going to provide you with a video and show you what I'm dealin...

Re: WEBINAR: An Overview of frame-by-frame animation in ASP
I actually asked you this on your youtube video last night, but I'll ask it again here. So when you use masking for shading and highlights, the strokes are limited only to the fill layer itself I'm imagining, And yet when I do it, I realize that the mask comes in the form of a giant invisible square...

wait...i think I just had a revelation....the one detail that held me back all this time...right there...staring at me in the face....make the ref layers BEFORE you start...facepalm* this was explained to me and it sailed over my head....at least I hope this is the case. TO THE LABORATORY!
