Re: How do I link bones from different bone layer?

Reality...? Entities...? Real life...?
Sorry, I truly don't know what you are talking about but I challenge any animator to say that a parent between different bone layers wouldn't be more than useful.

My suggestions for the next release of AS

1- The ability to parent one or more bones belonging to different bone layers (and animate it like the re-parent tool). This allows you to easily animate complex interactions between characters. 2- Having animation curves with independent x and y channels not only in value but also in time. This mea...

Re: How do I link bones from different bone layer?

Thanks to all of you guys. Since it seems there is no a practical solution to the problem, I guess there's no other way than rebuild a new bone layer made of biped+bike ( ). I'll wait for the new version of AS in which I'm sure it will be implemented the possibility to constrain parts of diffe...

Re: How do I link bones from different bone layer?

I have a library where each AS file contains a rigged character or prop. When I have to build the scene, I'd like to import my two rigged AS files (a biped and a bike) and constrain the foot to the pedals. That's all. So far, the only way I found to do it is copy and paste the biped's bones into the...

Re: How do I link bones from different bone layer?

Hi guys,
thanks for the advice but the problem still remains.
The character and the bicycle are in two different bone layers (separate rigs).
Any other advice?
Thanks

How do I link bones from different bone layer?

Hi everybody, I'm going crazy. Is there any way to constrain (and animate this constrain) a bone to another bone in a different bone layer? I have a rigged character and a rigged bicycle. Obviously I want the character's feet to follow the pedals. I'm I asking too much or do I miss something? Keepfu...

Re: MANY MINI-EPISODE 00 (Anime Studio and live action)

First of all thank all of you, I'm really glad you enjoy it. WHERE ARE THE OTHERS EPISODES ! Thanks Lychee. I'm working on the next episodes and soon they'll come to life. I'm also trying to find the necessary funding to involve external talented Anime Studio animators. Did you use After Effects and...

Re: Anime Studio Pro 10 for our "Season's Greetings"

BTW how abruptly do you think the moon would stop if a Boeing 747 passed by hitting a red-dressed fat flying man? ;-)
I chose that movement (time-warp like) because I needed to rapidly show the greetings and my company's logo.
Anyway...thanks again to all of you

1 - If I understood correctly, you want to be able to import a file into AS, edit it in another program 1- No, I mean exactly what Ponysmasher wrote: "...it would be great if entire characters could be updated, say if you changed vectors or added stuff like extra hands or mouths. You could hav...

What I would like to find in Anime Studio

Hi everybody, Anime Studio has a huge potential, and it could become a standard in the animation industry. I love the intuitive bone rigging and the fact that almost everithing is animateable, the easy inverse kinematic tools. But it lacks in 2 or 3 basic features that could make the difference if y...
