Apologies. Cheers. Anyway, the maddening part is that sometimes you can make a fillable shape of a "bisected" shape and sometimes you cannot. Furthermore, the idea of making two individual shapes does not always work e.g. in my case, I wanted the larger shape to have a gradient. So my sol...

The topic of this thread is "Can't fill shape". How is this not on topic?

I boiled it down to the image below. All intersections are welded, including the two in the middle. The leftmost two rectangles have been selected with the Create Shape tool. It looks like it is about to create a shape and I have selected both Fill and Stroke, but the shape it creates will not allow...

I have a similar problem which is I can create a shape, but it will not fill. It is one of two shapes with a common boundary. I can make those without problem with simple geometrics, but the drawing I'm working on is hanging up.

What is likely to be causing that?

So if I want to search for buttered toast on this forum I'd go to google and enter: buttered toast site:lostmarble.com/forum That's helpful, but it could be better. The problem occurs when you want to find a thread about a certain topic, but that same topic is casually mentioned in many other unrel...

Forum Search

Not sure if this is the proper place, but I have a comment about this forum. On the search page, there are two options: Search topic title and message text Search message text only I believe it would be better if it was like this: Search topic title and message text Search topic title only The reaso...

I found the answer I needed. After I exited the program and restarted it, I could then see the Motion Graph info. Bug (or feature).

Motion Graph

What is the secret to Motion Graph? I have bones that are animated, points that are animated, mainlines, and actions, and no matter what layer I'm on or what I do, I never see anything in the Motion Graph. I've tried resizing, auto sizing. Does anyone know the secret?

Thanks for all the replies. This is a very helpful group. It is true that Rachel uses bone constraints, however that does not prevent the issue described. Looking at the bone parenting is also interesting, but I had already done that. What I had not done, is add the rest of my bones. Silly me, I sta...

Simple Bone Question

If you open the Rachel character and select Manipulate Bones, no matter how much you move her head, the torso stays in place. I'm trying to accomplish the same thing. I have a group layer for my head and have linked that group layer to the head bone. The torso is in a lower layer and is linked to th...

I have now spent a bit more time with the drawing tools. I think the general tools for drawing are brilliant. Integration with shortcut keys under the left hand allows quick transitions. If you don't use styles, the program flows nicely (other than some suboptimal choices for terminology.) That said...

I used styles once for a project. It soon became apparent ... Thank you for posting all this. Even if your opinion is in the minority, it is liberating to read about different ways to approach problems. I want to be efficient, but I don't want to chase technology simply for the sake of it, which is...

Make the arms and hands in a different layer from the body. You would need at the end 3 layers, the one with the arms and hands on top in the order of the layers, then the one with the table and at the bottom the one with the rest of the body and the chair. Thanks. And thank you for all of your tut...
