My keyboard has never worked right after the last time I used it. Beer also doesn't mix well with other media; oils, acrylics, and pastels. Alt...
Vern Wrote: I use to think that anyone could "learn" to be an artist. Vern, you are partly right. As I tell kid who think they want to be artist, "I can teach you how to draw, but I can't teach you how to create." Synthsin75 Wrote: but when I was young one of the best exercises ...
chucky asked: Are those glows done with layer shadows? In fact, it is the Shader that I'm using (the second option). In certain scenes you will see two glows. I did this two different layers, the object layer the group layer. The downside to using one 3D objects is like adding twenty-plus layers to...
I've seen a lot of good work try to simulate 3D (2.5D). And I've beed impressed with all of it and hope to incorporate these technic in future efforts. But in ASP's tutorial, 6.8, it talks about using 3D objects inside ASP. So I began to experiment with it and the results are Orion-1. There are draw...
Most of the cartoons we create are short, one time pieces with simple stories and character. If this the case then we need not dwell on characters or stories. However, if the animation will be long or a series, then characters and story matter. I'm working such a series, "Sasha the 1st", a...
Heyvern; I'm impressed with the amount of control you have over the head. I've been studying Fiziwig's tutorials for head and body turns: http://fiziwig.com/anim/index08.php Questions: 1. Is your rig as complicated as the one in Fiziwig's tutorial? I'm looking for a simple way to make head and body ...
If you're just making a short 1 or 2 minute animations, then I'd follow Funksmaname; then bite the bullet and make the effort or your results will always be a mishmash of styles But it you're planning a much larger project, 5 minutes or longer, perhaps you should get someone else involved. Somebody ...
I'm also ex-navy (US Navy) I would be so dazzeled by the glittered and pazzaz of 3D animation. Its still just a 2D image in the end. AS has a 3D component which, if you use it right, looks just as good as any 3D animation software. Example: A test animation of mine on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com...
I make changes very slowly. I have learned from passed mistakes that anything NEW isn't always great. So it took awhile for me to drop my charcoal stick and cave wall and pick up the mouse and computer screen. Eventually I acquired a copy of AS. I never liked drawing with a mouse, the whole eye hand...
I had a simular problem my first time through this tutorial. I was trying to learn it fast and was skim reading. The first part of this tutorial is a review of how to color fill shapes. I took for a step in the process. Try making a simple donut: 1. Draw the outer border by what means you desire. 2....
If it were my project, I might put a Switch Layer in for the mower's engine and have just two sub-layer of the engine squashing then streching. The just switch between them, say, every six frames. Some adjustment may be needed to get the look you want.
As rough as it may seem, you have master the basic walk sequence. Now try altering what you have to create a different style of walking, ie try creating a shorter more dainty, a femine walk (out of place with this character, I know, but it will be a learning experience). Then try a dragging walk. wi...
