It is easier to draw continuously without having to flip from layer to layer but this will create bone binding issues.

Depending on how you draw you could cut and paste lines/parts to pre-prepared layers after you have done most of your drawing.

Texture tiling

I have a 256x128px texture image for a backdrop. I draw a rectangle completely covering my 320x240 work area and set fill as 'image texture/tile'. Why does only 110 wide of the tile show? And the resolution is :x. I have tried starting with a smaller rectangle and scaling up, the reverse of that, wo...

Yes, the randomise button does decrease those dead spots. Great.! :D My question though was 'must the "Randomize playback" be checked to activate particle animation?' It seemed that way to me. Seems kinda weird that i have to put in the animation and then specify the playback so that I get...

The 3 ray symmetry worked best. Although there are 'dead' spots. http://www.BuddhaMind.info/as/bits/sun_symmetry.gif I am still learning the permutations of particles and it seems that randomness is a fixed aspect of particles. This issue relates (in my mind) to another set up where I am trying to c...

symmetrical particles

I wonder if there is a way of getting particles to array symmetrically in a circle? The rays of a sun is part of my current project. Three rays - colours are just to highlight what is happening. http://www.BuddhaMind.info/as/bits/sun.gif http://www.BuddhaMind.info/as/bits/sun_particles.gif http://ww...

Another useful script is ge_reload_image

It doesn't look for images but relies on the image being in the same location and will reload it. I haven't used the crashcore find-images script but 'one day' I can well imagine having the same problem

Mr R. -- you are the inspiration here :!: the guiding light :P :P :P I would be flattered if my first stumbling attempts with Lua were included **anywhere** The icon is the easy part for me and given freely to all. Back on the 'main' project... I am not sure how to include tools - eg. fazek's (which...

Masking and particles would be my suggestion. Have a look at this. Just replace the grumpy nurse with your text. Adjust background, particle size, transparency, etc. I originally had this as a pixelation dissolve and have here just set the particles with variable blur and transparency. http://www.Bu...

Still poking about.

Here is a trial using the 'nudge' buttons:

Image - my 'collective' icon

It seems to have to be set in _tool_list as a tool.

So, the race is on 8) basically what you've been doing manually Not quite. I have had some success but somewhat limited. If I knew the consistent process (manually) then I would have more chance of emulating that auto matically. Rudiger said: "I would be happy to write the AnimeStudio specific ...

do the LoadPrefs, SavePrefs functions still get called when you move a script to the utility directory? No idea. Please remember the lua language/syntax is quite new to me. I have got the flip_layer H&V scripts to work - but they are very simple. If not, you can move them to a menu folder inste...

There is no magic formula. Animation is a lot of work which ever way you approach it. Some people are more technical and need to spend time on drawing/art. Some are fine artists but can't pull the software together. Rare is the one who produces fine animation after a week - a month - a year... I am ...

Turns are quite the challenge if you aim for full reality. This topic comes up a lot and it would be worth your while to do a forum search on this. There are lots of different approaches - switches just being one. There are times when a slow, smooth transition is the only thing that will really work...
