Exactly. But an option allowing the user to hide the color palette would also be nice.

I just wanted to pop in and say that, like Selgin, I sometimes think the Styles Window is too big.

SmithMicro won't tell anybody when Version 8 will be released. Telling even one potential customer the release date for Version 8 is like the company telling the whole internet, "Don't anybody buy ASP until (date/month/year)! Who needs revenue until then? Not us!" We'll learn about ASP Ver...

The easiest way is to use Auto-Fill. Select the Add Points tool. Now look on the Tool Options Bar and locate a box that says Auto-Fill. Click the box to activate it. You should get shapes easily now. :) What you were probably doing wrong is you were neglecting to tap the Spacebar after you clicked C...

If you're concerned that version 8 will be released soon after you buy version 7, I wouldn't worry about it. Version 7 is still fairly new, so there's virtually zero chance that version 8 will be released this year, and only a smallish chance of version 8 appearing next year, IMO.

Ha! I have ideas like that, ideas that go from potentially awesome to tragically embarrassing once I've given them a minute of careful analysis.

If I could offer one tiny suggestion, it would be to make Fletcher's eyebrows move fast whenever they move. Slow eyebrow movements don't seem natural.

Re: New Episode of Fletcher; made as always on AS 5

Nice. I especially liked the voice acting. One criticism. In my opinion, the mechanic should've determined which car was Fletcher's the moment Fletcher walked in, because the mechanic - having completed his trash forensics - would've possessed an eerie knowledge of the car owner's likely age and app...

What a bummer. You look nothing like your animated avatar.

Apart from that, excellent video! I learned stuff.

Excellent. Regarding the speed of the character's fetching the arrow and drawing the bow, I have no complaints. Her speed conveys experience. Also, animating a character moving at faster-than-human speed is not unusual these days - it may even be the norm . To me, the character's 'anime' appearance ...

Hmm. Maybe you accidentally copied the sun's animation to the saucer. Try this. Click on the flying saucer group to SELECT it. Then go to the ANIMATION menu and select CLEAR ANIMATION FROM LAYER. The saucer should not move after that. If it does, then repeat for the actual saucer layer within the gr...

Assuming you are using points and shapes, another way of doing this is by SELECTING points and TRANSLATING those points.

But, yeh, separate layers would be easier.

Re: Rotating bones or layers without affecting other scenes?

Try this:

Go back to the old scene, locate the Translate Layer keyframe dot in the timeline, click the dot, click COPY, then advance the timeline slider to the new frame where you want the duplicated keyframe to appear and click PASTE.

Thanks for the replies! It worked! I did OPEN WITH as you suggested. Unfortunately, on a Mac (I'm on a Mac) there is no "always use the selected program to open this type of file" option. So I right-clicked on the file and chose GET INFO, thinking an OPEN WITH option might be there. Tah-da...
