Re: Concerns upgrading Moho Pro 13 from Moho Pro 12
Be sure to install it in a different location, and it should be fine. Also backup you 12.5 installation file. and serial , you'll always have that. Thank you, Chucky. The Mac will install it by default in the Applications folder. If I choose "keep both" it will go in there but it won't ov...

Re: Concerns upgrading Moho Pro 13 from Moho Pro 12
I too would like to test 13 before I upgrade. 12.5 works so well I don't want to rock the boat
So, just to be supersure... If I tell the installer to "keep both" I'll be able to work with both my 12.5 AND the 13 trial?

Re: weird thing with target bones
Ah, glad you got it sorted. Yeah, smart bones need to be extra careful about what gets keyed. What was really puzzling was that the problem would only manifest itself after frame 0, in fact, I'm still not quite sure about that part... :) Anyway, now it works fine... I don't want my doubts to magica...

I learned a lot from this incident, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.synthsin75 wrote:Ah, glad you got it sorted.

Re: weird thing with target bones
I might have to see the file to troubleshoot it. I can only guess otherwise. SOLVED! I erased all the bones except the master, legs and targets. And he worked again. So then, by exclusion, I isolated a (*@#) dial smartbone that controls one of the character's mouth positions, which had - SOMEHOW - ...

Re: weird thing with target bones
Maybe the leg bones are constrained? No... The only settings for the shin bones are the two targets. Correct me if I'm wrong, whatever settings were present for the legs, even a constraint, wouldn't they already show up and work also on frame 0? What puzzles me is how the rig is fine on 0 and stops...

Re: weird thing with target bones
If the bones targeting them are controlled by a smart bone, this may keep them from following the targets. The lower-leg bones that point to the targets (it's a typical rig to keep the feet still) have no actions attached to them and apparently aren't controlled by any other bone. A very strange si...

Re: weird thing with target bones
I just tried to erase the old targets and replaced them with new ones (in case there was something wrong with them, I know it sounds like magical thinking but...). But nothing, after frame 0 this guy seems to lose his targets no matter what. I'm completely puzzled :/

weird thing with target bones
Today I'm bumping into some weird problems. I just solved a problem with an action and rigging problem (thanks to Synthin's help) but here's another one... I have a character who's feet are pinned to the ground with target bones. He works fine, I've been animating him. Suddenly, the targets only wor...

Re: entering actions panel destroys character
Somewhere is probably a smart bone action that has all bones keyframed. If you need help troubleshooting, post the file. Hmm, now that you mention it, I can see that when I double-click smartbone actions, a couple of smartbones (head turn and mouth up-down) go into in a non-neutral position. Which ...

Re: entering actions panel destroys character
Sounds like the new smart bone action got too many unintended bones keyframed. If the smartbone is new, shouldn't it be unrelated to other bones? Also, the problem of the destruction of the artwork happens no matter what action or smartbone I double-click in the Actions panel. Even without adding a...

entering actions panel destroys character
I don't know if this is a bug or what but all of a sudden the smartbones of character have become impossible to edit. After adding a new smartbone, here is what happens when I enter the various bones in the action panel. A total disintegration, an explosion of the character's vectors. That abstract ...

Re: copy and paste smart bones and bone dials
I wouldn't suggest using smart bones with sequencer shifted layers. Better to move keyframes than shift the layers. The Sequencer is incredibly useful to place animated events (for example: an explosion). I've used it even to create a sort of 'montage' of different scenes by giving folder groups di...

Adding camera keyframes
Is it possible to add camera keyframes for all movements in one go? I mean, add keyframes for track/zoom/roll/pan with one command? As far as I can see I have to them all each separately. But since most of the time I'll be needing at least track and zoom, I might as well add all at once (as one can ...

Re: copy and paste smart bones and bone dials
bone layer 1 - bone layer 2 ---vector layer If there's a bone in "bone layer 2", a smart bone in "bone layer 1" won't be able to influence "vector layer". Aah, ok, thank you for that explanation. No, the smartbones (dials, in this case) in this case directly control ve...
