...to me, it doesn't seem like creating your own lettering would cause any difference? Have you tried changing the "weight" (thickness) of the letters' outlines?

(I hadn't noticed any problems like you describe... I can test it out later today...)

I've had good results w/Quicktime movie, with mpeg 4 compression... have you tried the different compression types under the Quicktime movie setting?

My second test... using a wizard-created then modified character (but my own walk cycle). Also added depth. (This is a cool program!)
