See the appendix in the Help menu, it lists which features export to Flash and which don't.

Strange - Nice designs and colours, but ... why is the movement often so staggering? The jerkiness doesn't go well with the smooth gradients and motion blurs. Heads change their volume in turns. If they go for something different, why not with the line quality as well? And why do teh hands have so m...

Right now no animation program is able to integrate both approaches. In my personal work, I decide which to use on a scene-by-scene, even a character-by-character base, rendering stuff out of one program and import it into the other. My paid gigs, however, insist on doing everything in only one prog...

If I want or need to work frame by fram, I just don't use AS. I use Mirage instead, bitmap-based and tailored to that goal. I've heard that you can work in ToonBoom (one of its variants) that way, and I've seen films dione in Flash that way.

funk's right. "Frame-by-frame" means just that: you have to create everything in every frame again. AS is more like puppetry: all objects exist through the entire scene and get manipulated. I'd like to see both combined in one software, because each approach has its own set of limitations.

I stopped it at half, there was only talking, no action ... but it's a very nice style, especially the background treatment which blends perfectly with the characters. Now add some more specific poses, and some real movement, and you got a nice series.

I've mentioned it elsewhere in more detail, but I walk my characters in place, then put them into a group layer and use this to move it all over the scene, including size changes. All movement inside that group is cycled.

I still think a storyboard on paper is the fastest way to work. Later on one may use software to scan it in, time the drawings to make an animatic, and print out the whole thing if it needs to be presented. But pen & paper are the fastest. (Don't forget to leave some besides your bed if you are,...

Gradients only show up in the rendered image. In your case, you need to "export animation" and set it to export only 1 frame.

I just took a second look at all the examples, but didn't found what I was looking for. My question is: how long was your cycle? If I want to do a 12 frame cycle, I put the first key on #1 and copy it to #13. This key #13 is set to cycle mode, relative, 12 frames. All cycles need one more frame than...

I'm struggling with this myself, and I'm afraid that you will need more keyframes than from a walk in side view. But who cares? Keys are cheap, and once a cycle is built it goes on and on ...
