Better rendering for Raster images

Okay. I'm thoroughly dissapointed in Moho's rendering. Any sort of fine detail is lost when it's rendered by anything but SWF. Mouths at a distance become ugly blobs, eyes big black dots. If you export to SWF all those details are still there. I'm not even using variable line widths, I'm just talkin...

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The resolution issue is being discussed right now.... again.... for about the fifth time in less than 6 months. I would almost bet money that Alpha channels will come up again in about 1 month. I think so far the info has been presented pretty well. It just nee...

FAQ requests

Hey all, I've noticed a few topics that seem to come up about once a month as new people join us. And while it would be cool if a search was done before posting, we all know that searching doesn't always bring up the answers we would like, and they need answers. Here's some recurring topics I've obs...

Very nice. Clean and easy to navigate. I agree though that the gallery (after opening an image), is a bit cumbersome/confusing. It took me a second to realize that you had a rotating list of pics. It may be a bit heady for the clientel you're aiming for, even though it is a pretty cool concept. Also...

I'm going with the "soda" "pop" debate, if only because I'm from Rochester and know just how important this debate is to the infrastructure of our entire economy. Just for the record, even though my wife from Long Island has trained me to say soda (she wears the pants I want to g...

Is there audio? I'm at work and I can never tell if it's because of my machine or that there wasn't audio to begin with.

I like the look. Especially your use of colors.

House of Cosbys

I'm not sure if it was done in Moho, but it easily could have been. And it's hysterical (a bit of a tweak on the SeaLab 2021 Timetravel Episode, but enough differences to make up for it). Scroll to the bottom to find the first Episode. http://www.channel101.com/shows/show.php?show_id=121 There's als...

I have the exact same problem, with no lines: http://www.galaxy12.com/Video/MrZerro_AnimTest01.5.mov The mouth is only marginally detailed (again no lines, just overlapping shapes creating lines), but looses all detail and becomes a moving blob of black as we zoom out. Why the loss of detail? If I h...

I wrote him and asked him how it was done (I also told him how much we liked it). I asked him if he used Photoshop and After Effects for it (my guess). Here's his response: bingo. i sketched and painted everything digitally with a wacom cintique monitor (the glass tablet where you see where you draw...

Lost Marble, I've seen this Transparency discussion appear about half a dozen times in the past month. Perhaps it's a good candidate for the FAQ section.

Very nice.

Add some animation to the grass particles (bend) and it will look awesome.

The butterfly is very nicely done.

After Effects is an absolutely wonderful program. Compositing at an artist's level with professional options. The cost does make it a bit prohibitive for the casual user however.

That's a pretty good idea. Color code the timeline lines to match the attribute, like they do in the graph mode.

I imagine animating between blending modes would probably be impossible (or worse, unsatisfying!) but LM can chime in on this. I don't know of any programs that let you do that, the math involved in blending the pixels is just so different between modes, I'm guessing that they're incompatible, or ju...

Yeah, I know cancelling is going to be useful. There's definitely more work to be done on this feature. I used it a bunch of times last night and love it. It's a huge help while animating. Thank you very much. By the way, you can preview just a sub-section of your animation. By default, the preview...
