De nada. I find myself, overworked as I am, quite often in self-built traps like this.

You could duplicate your shapes, place that duplicate under the original, colour it completely black, set its layer effect to "multiply" and an opacity of about 60%. Then go to "vector", check outline and fill animation, set it to random with a good combination of offset and scal...

Niiice! - Clouds should move only in one direction, at slightly different speeds. - During a pan the clouds need to stick to the background - imagine your camera on a tripod, panning around: sky and hills move together. - The sun in close-up is in front of the trees. Shouldn't that be behind? - The ...

Really not bad. I like the decision to use stylized movements for stylized characters. Overall the movements could do with a bit more "snap", = more dynamic ...

HyperCard ... I still have that box with version 2.2 which had that special plug-in for colour support - don't know why I still keep it! Yes, this and Director are my muddy origins in computer animation. A bit later I was introduced to Toonz and Animo, again a bit later came Flash, then finally Moho...

A key on frame 1 of a stationary object. Frame 10 a key that moves it horizontally. A key on frame 20 to move it vertically. In that situation the object moves a certain distance horizontally for 10 frames then moves a certain distance vertically for 10 frames. This happens without stopping or paus...

All computer animation works this way Well, that's an explanation, but for sure no reason to still build it this way! Since the normal way of animation is "don't move until I tell you", why isn't the software so clever and places another key right before the first key the animator creates...

Can you show us or give us links to the examples? Sorry, no. There was one film where I very much liked the first 20 minutes, which were great material to learn from, but I don't remember the title. But I assume that the overall storytelling quality of anime can be found in nearly every feature-len...

Adding points works in other frames than 0 too, but it mostly gives weird results in teh preceding parts of animation so they have to be re-adjusted too.

The blue stripe shows the length of your project. You can change it
a) in the project settings
b) by alt-rightclick in the line with the numbers.

cmd-leftclick and cmd-rightclick specify a loop just for playback during work.

I never spent much thought on "blocking", in fact I learnt that term just recently. I am used to storyboards instead. And before that, I used to decide where to place my life-action actors right on the set, depending on space and light mostly. (That was no-bugdet filmmaking, mind you ...) ...

AE can't possibly be the culprit. Have a close look at your QT installation. Did AE came with QT? If yes, was it a different version than what was installed before?

Right now I have to work with a bunch of animals, including a giraffe and an elephant. So I have a neck and a trunk and some tails. Most are done with a nice chain of short bones, about 1.5 to 2 times as long as the thickness of the "pipe". The outline of that pipe has one point for each c...
