Just as an option, you could look at getting Anime Studio Pro 11, it's only $59.99 on Amazon.com at the moment.
I know a lot of users on the FB groups are fed up with the bugs in Moho Pro 12 and are going back to 11 until fixed. (I personally haven't had a problem with 12 and use it daily).

Can you create smaller videos and use them as placeholders? Then turn the high-res versions on when you need to render.

I tend to use PNG images with transparent backgrounds which avoids masking in Moho.

I'm reading a book called Experimental Animation - The orgins of a new art, it has many artists from the past who have done similar animations with sometimes nothing more than a camera and paper. I would just do this with point animation. It will give you more control. The 'lock tip' option (bone physics tool) can be used on a chain of bones (with the pivot on), this would give you the drop in the middle of the chain. But I don't think you can't move the end of the chain around once the anim...

Chucky, that's a bit extreme. It wouldn't be that bad! I think a tablet version would fit in well with Moho debut and Pro. Not to replace, just complement. It wouldn't have to be a fully featured version, just enough to do the artwork and animation like debut does. I would still like to use Moho Pro...

If Smith Micro did want to sell Moho or Poser, I think they should look to Corel or DAZ 3D (Daz Productions, Inc.). But I don't think they'll be doing that anytime soon.
