Thanks for taking the time to look into it. 1. I see your point, but yeah: the issue bugs *me*, even if the audience may not be aware of it. I will know the difference and won't be at ease with it. Also, I plan on making a web version of the eventual film, and consequently it'll have to go through a...

Hi Mike,

The 5.6 build is: "Build 20080407p".

(For what it's worth, this is AS 6.2's build: "Build 20100225p".)

I checked, but in both apps the 3D camera is enabled. Just as a test, I exported a bit of film with the 3D camera off, but it made no difference. I've also tried to export it as 1921x1080, but again, blurry lines. I've tried a lot of different options, but nothing I do gets the same sharp result as ...

There IS a difference, people. On both my iMac and my old PowerBook. You can see it even in this reduced size, no doubt about it. I'm surprised you don't see it. You don't have to be a professional or have 20/20 vision. When you compare them, like in Photoshop, look at the LINES. They give it away. ...

HD Export problem

I've gone and went for the 'upgrade': Anime Pro 6. Right away, I've encountered my first problem, and I'll show you what it is. In AS5, I work in 1920x1080. Export using the Animation codec, which to me is the only acceptable one. I don't draw in AS, but I import images: .PNGs, 1920x1080, usually fr...

I export using the Animation codec at its highest setting, so that can't be it -- just for the hell of it I changed the setting to 91, and that somehow worked. That's a kind of logic only AS can follow. I've had so many problems with that piece of software, it's not funny: output too bright; an anno...

Some more info: I'm using the previous version of AS and I'm on an iMac. My PowerBook shows the same problem.

I've tried to test it on a PC and brought my stuff there, but it wouldn't work: the .anme file is "from a newer version of Moho" it says. Whatever.

I've just checked, and they don't show up in the single-frame renders. They're also absent from the exported .PNG images.

So strange.

It does, unfortunately -- it shows up in the render, but not during editing.

I've also discovered it happens with images that have less than 100% opacity -- at 100%, the 'trace' effect is still there, but less noticeable. The outline is thinner.

Images leave a strange trace

Hi, Imported images / vector layers that move fast in my animation, somehow leave a trace behind. It's more of an outline really of that particular imported image/vector layer. I'm not using motion blur, but it's similar to that. Does anyone know what they are, and how to get rid of them? Thanks in ...

Importing PSD files

I read that with AS6, it's possible to import Photoshop files with their separate layers intact. I wonder, does this work for Photoshop Elements too?

As far as FCP goes, the problem I think is that it may mainly want you to use either DV files or the Apple Intermediate Codec. Maybe you could mess around with an app like MPEG Streamclip, convert your stuff, and see if there's anything FCP catches. My experience is based on using FCE, however. I co...

Never ASSUME that an issue might not be YOUR responsibility. Don't blame the tools or the teacher (the book) until you've ruled everything else out. Don't blame the tools unless you can show us evidence of it, step by step to recreate the problem or a file that has the problem. 99% of problems I've...
