The reason why i am asking this is because the ORIGINAL moho 5 had the coolest demo version i've ever seen! ALL of the features were available, and you could keep it forever! while anime...

If you are on a tight budget but want something along the lines of After FX or Final Cut, check out Jahshaka...

http://www.jahshaka.org

It's open source and still can't compare yet to commercial apps, but good for editing and compositing

Thanks. I'm more conscious of trying to make the animation *READ WELL* without the sound being a crucial factor in explaining what's happening. The guy who writes the scripts does a super-fantastic job - Steve Francis. The master of this is Chuck Jones -- especially the Roadrunner cartoons. He inte...

Re: Luvin' this program...

Oh, neat, I didn't realize one could composite video in like that! Perhaps you should have a look at the "Charlie Loses His Marbles" by poster grimble67 in the 2nd Moho animation contest. http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1586 The combined video and animation can still be do...

Re: Luvin' this program...

http://www.dvtvfilm.com/FTP/LoveThisProgram.mov Well, I'm still screwing around with this program, but I'm really loving it. (I'll love it more when the Image Sequence and Image Texture bugs for the MAC version are fixed.) The above practice file shows 2 video sources and an Poser6 Alpha-channel cl...

There goes the "great Foundation for Animation" out of the window. The best foundation for character animation are drawing and knowing how to rig a model, not using a specific program. The first things you have to learn in animation is walk cycles, definitely walk cycles. Not just normal ...

This class just looks like it just teaches the basics of Moho/Anime Studio in terms of how to use the features like bones, timelines, etc. What it doesn't seem to teach are the basic concepts of 2D animation like squash and stretch, anticipation, walks, etc.
