Re: The Embrace

I see what you're saying. I didn't have a away to transition the scenes into a flowing storyline because there was no intended storyline to begin with, just a hodgepodge of drawings. The growing tree was it's own separate project and connecting that to the weirdo who drops his own heart on the groun...

Re: The Embrace

Well I asked for critique so I guess i certainly got what I asked for. I would suppose most music videos would be an artistic interpretation of a song... This just happens to be a resurrection of artwork I did in highschool 15 years ago I thought would be cool to animate now that animation has my in...

The Embrace

So I've been working on and off a couple years on an artistic music video. All in AS11 and power director for editing/publishing. So here I've posted a sort of collage of snips of what I have so far because I feel like I'm never going to finish the thing. Thoughts, critiques, suggestions, and ideas ...

Apothecary Apocalypse

So this is a sequel to a short that I made 2 or 3 years ago. All in all I'm pretty pleased with it; if anyone watches this who happens to have seen the original short, I hope my development as an animator will be noticeable. The one criticism I'm bracing for is the use of photography rather than art...

Keyboard shortcuts corrupted

So without warning all of my keyboard shortcuts have been erased. When I go into "keyboard shortcuts" everything is greyed out and uneditable, with a note at bottom stating "default settings cannot be edited. Choose a custom settings file to edit." So when I try creating a custom...

Re: Daft Punk Remix/Animation

OOPS!!! It seems I already posted this back on 12/17/14 and forgot I had done that...I'm not trying to spam the forum! Is there a way to just delete this entire thread that's a duplicate?

Daft Punk Remix/Animation

So what I've done here is taken the song "Technologic" from Daft Punk - I rewrote the lyrics, re-recorded my own vocal, then remixed the song. Of course the original song consists of random words about technology, my remix is all about raising a baby! Then I took my song to Anime Studio to...

Re: Mormon Secrets- FINALLY finished!!

Yeah, the audio was a bummer, I was hoping it wouldn't be overly noticeable but I couldn't edit it enough to make it better. And yes, they were separate recordings. Both missionaries were my own voice acting at my house using a condenser mic. The chick's voice was just a coworker of mine recorded in...

Mormon Secrets- FINALLY finished!!

Several months back I posted a minute-or-so long teaser for a project I had been working on, at the time entitled "What Mormons Don't Tell." The project is FINALLY completed after about 10 months working on it. The project represents the culmination of pretty much all the animating skills ...

32-bit broken audio preview

I have always animated in AS (currently 9.5) in the 32-bit version on my PC. A couple weeks ago very suddenly I've lost all ability to hear any audio from the timeline. The audio layers aren't broken, and the waveform visual shows up in the timeline, and they render fine, but nothing plays back from...

Re: What Mormons Don't Tell

I really liked your suggestions everyone, especially jahnocli - I wish I had done it per your suggestion from the beginning, wherein the missionary's statements should have been made on the defense rather than the offense. I may be too late in the game for large script changes, but I had toyed aroun...

What Mormons Don't Tell

So at the bottom is the url to a clip from a larger project I'm working on...I have it unlisted because I just need some feedback as I'm going along, the final is still quite a ways off. So here's the premise - in a former life I used to be a mormon...and yes, one of those annoying suited-up kids th...

Re: Romeo and JuliANT

So I took some suggestions from this forum and the Kelleytown members to improve my video. Added shadows, outdoor background sounds, and I feel most important was audio adjustments so the relative volume of each soundbite fits much more smoothly and naturally. MAKE SURE TO SET YOUR VIEWING SETTINGS ...
