I'm a noob as far as Anime Studio goes, but not with computers in general. So just to check off simple troubleshooting items so we can quicker help you get going did you try rebooting your computer? I suppose a more drastic measure might be to reinstall ASP. Although I'm wondering too if jahnocli is...

TRIM is the utility I was trying to think of. Anyway to get back to your original question I don't think you'll be disappointed with the performance.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. That's great work and it's exactly what I'm wanting to do with animation. My girls like to 'act' and pretend and so forth so I thought it would be fun for them to play various characters and come up with stories to animate. You're very inspiring to me. I bet you'r...

I have one although haven't had it for too long. They are expensive compared to regular SATA drives. I got an 80GB drive and use it as my C:\ drive. I don't use it for data but only for the operating system and installing applications. One thing I hadn't considered until a friend pointed it out, is ...

Cool idea

I like your male and female character template file. It helps to see things like that as someone starting out with anime studio.

thanks for sharing.

Great job moorsel . I'm new to anime studio and animation in general but I know just enough to know this represents a ton of work. I'm in no position to make criticisms about any animation aspects. I was wondering though if you'd comment about some pre-production steps, like did you write a script? ...

Thank you so much crsP ! Those suggestions worked great. I should have known about insufficient points on the legs. I think I'll get the hang of orgainizing my layers as I start to actually animate. Right now I think I'll animate everything which is why I end up with layers upon layers. Thanks again...

That's not a question with a simple answer. I could say "it's easy to decide which way to go after you've had several years of experience in the field", but that's much too depressive. The trick is to just do it. No matter wether you take evening courses and have a strict curriculum, or j...

Rig a "Mike Wasowski" type of character?

I'm having a really hard time rigging up this little character my daughter came up with. I suspect it has to do with overly organized groups and folders which is another thing I'm struggling with when I create a character. Here's a link to the file. I could really use some help with orgainization an...

A word of caution: these modelsheets have been done for completely hand-drawn animation. They're not really suited for use in AS. They will, of course, give you some hints about proportions and construction. I'm just starting out in animation and right now it's for my own amusement and something to...

LightWorks complicated?

I know this is an old topic, but was wondering if anyone was using this software. I'm new to animation (anime studio pro) and realize right away that windows movie maker is going to be very limiting. On the other hand LightWorks looks pretty complicated. It's a pretty subjective question to ask if L...

ASP installation question

I'm new to animation/cartoons and am very excited to get going with it. I've yet to install ASP 6 but was wondering if I'd be able to custom installations. I have an SSD for my OS and applications but it's pretty small (80GB) so I don't want to install the library content there. Is this going to be ...
