Classroom Tool

Selgin,

I'm forwarding your post to my partner. She teaches computer workshops and some of these might really be really useful. Thank you.

Festival Fees

For the personal experience, I entered a little project of mine in about 20 - 25 festivals around the world. The biggest like Hiroshima and Ottawa don't charge, but that changes very quickly when the scale of the festival changes. It's not just in the US. I drew the line on what I thought were exorb...

Language

Selgin,

This reminds me of some Spanish language jobs I've worked on. Even though I don't know Spanish, I got used to the labels on the models. And, the lip syncing was surprisingly easy. I'm not so sure the results would be the same with Russian or Chinese.

Hopefully the last version

This version has been produced with the Rec.709 color space, for HDTV. I hope you're not too bored to look at this and give me more feedback. This may have valuable information for you too. The images were rendered as sequential PNG files, so that the 709 color space would stay attached. After Effec...

Let me guess, their home territory has valuable minerals or oil. Please keep us posted.

Something of a solution

For now I'm going to render my After Effects movies with 48kHz audio, even if it's 44.1 sources. I don't know the reasons, but from my own tests and Adobe forum input, this seems to 'hold' quality. In my case there can be small but noticeable fall off with 44.1 renders. I'm noting this in case it ca...

New Forum Category Needed

We need a new forum category for all these incredibly attractive offers; something descriptive like 'Wasters Wanted' or 'Self Flagellation'. Maybe it can even update a permanent listing on Craigslist.

After Effects Audio

Is anyone here ever manipulating audio directly in Adobe After Effects? I've got an issue with falling levels during render.

Here's a link to my thread:

run time

Thank you, folks, for the positive reinforcement (B. F. Skinner might have had something). Robj, this is just a lead in to a longer reel. The following segment is 5.5 minutes long for a combined run time of 6 minutes. Producers type people are so inundated with solicitations that I need this quick i...

The Tick

Off topic: Don't forget their brilliant decision to cancel "The Tick" (the animated show) because it didn't test well in the 6-9 year old demographic, even though practically my entire dorm got up early on Saturday morning to see it. Not an easy feat! I loved The Tick. I'll never forget t...

montage

I put a montage of quick cuts together. This is the lead in to a longer reel. I hope the audio comes across OK on your computer. I went for more stereo separation, and the fullness went away. Plus, it's compressed as an upload. Plus, my piano teacher chased me away when I was little - I was that bad...

muscles

I'd simplify the deltoid, oblique and ab muscles. I think less detail will look more natural in those places. I have to keep a mirror handy, myself.

This is an interesting project.

Thank you, Selgin.

For media and culture, much of South America looks like it is ready to take off, like a rocket - so much talent, style and humor.

I liked watching your 'club' videos. They remind me of the old beach bars I use to hang out at in Florida.

Fixes

I reloaded the file with a fix for better contrast in the legs. There was also a typo in the credits that my sister was more than happy to point out. I lost my view numbers and ratings of course, when I made the change. Besides the US, Sweden and Ukraine had the most hits, followed by Chile and Paki...
