SHEEP!

The character animation here is 100 percent ASP. Compositing was in After Effects.

Documentary Animation

This is a montage, not concurent shots. The greenscreen matchup at the end was for about 60 frames. The rest of that shot was just made up. I tried to use Anime Studio Pro (ASP) on the whole thing. However, the client actually wanted scratchy looking limited movement (and yes I pitched the animated ...

8 bit life.

I thought it was good story telling. The office environment was pretty spot on.

YouTube Search

May I suggest you simply use the 'search' box at the top of the YouTube page. If you type in Anime Studio, you will get severl pages of results. However, each entry has a decent thumbnail image and a short synopsis - making your selections fairly quick.

Energy for Everyone

This is a spec spot for wind energy I did last year. Wind mills and a bicycle were animated in Blender. The rest, including the woman on the bicycle, is animated with Anime Studio Pro; composited in After Effects.

composite

Well, this method certainly eliminates any compositing issues. Having the character firmly rooted with a camera that shaky, it makes the shot very ominous. I saw what I think is a German animation, that used giant cardboard cutout inch worms across 2nd story ledges of buildings. It was well done, bu...

Selgin, are you out there?

I was working at my drawing table and just remembered that Selgin lives in Chile. Selgin, if you are online after the earthquake, are you alright?

Getting Your Pay

Here's a link to an article I linked to through Motionographer. http://epilogue8.blogspot.com/ This sounds typical, if even a little on the mild side of many situations. If you're dealing with an out of town client or don't have decent labor laws in your area, you also have the option of hiring coll...

Sesame Street Letter

Did many people see this Dear Sesame Street letter at Cartoon Brew?

In a related matter, does anyone know how to remove a profile at Aniboom? I've written Aniboom management with no results.

New Catagory

Maybe I should apologize for an earlier post (not this thread) about a new category for 'work for free' pitches. I may have seemed excessively terse or cynical. Beyond issues of attitude and on to practicality, someone at Cartoon Brew also mentioned the need for a separate area for 'work for free' p...

Historically, in the US at least, you'd have to hire a lawyer just to get the attention of a media publishing label. I've had this experience personally. In the last year, however, I have seen rights agents pop up that streamline this process without the need of an expensive lawyer. The rights to di...

Versions of everything

What version of Anime Studio are you using. My system OS is still 10.4.11 and Anime Studio Pro (ASP) v6 was a definite improvement in stability for me. Now it's about like an Adobe product. Prior, the later updates to the ASP v5 series had me saving out all the time. My Intel tower model would start...

Correction

I stand corrected per Cartoon Brew, and allow me to extend due credit to Slow Tiger. Sir Richard is no longer connected with the Virgin recording label. So, insert the current CEO name into my offer. Are we now down to $350 per second? Please advise.

Deal

Please communicate to Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson that I will provide animation services for this amount: a sum equal to Sir Richard's average restaurant bill, including liquor and champagne. I suspect that is equivalent to $500 (US) per second.

Deal?

ID

Can anyone identify this project? It looks like the figure reading is an animated layer over a background painting. Then, there is the video aspect formatting.
