Re: HELP WITH FONTS!!!!
I found that I lose too much time fiddling and correcting text appearance in Moho, so I just render the text I need in Photoshop and import as PNG. I only use the text tool in Moho when I need some animated property, like a boiling text outline.

Re: Moho animation in Instructional Design
I did a few jobs in the field, and my main complain is that no one really thinks of which content needs which media to be delivered. Too often there's too much text which "just needs some illustration", or there's something which needs a deeper explanation, but is done away with some non-r...

Re: Layer Order and Masking Puzzle
Moho can use any image as mask. It will use the non-transparent pixels as mask. Also it can combine more than one layer into a mask. Layer ordering is not the same as Z depth - you can have something on top of the layer hierarchy so it covers everything else, but be "in the back" of someth...

Re: Layer Order and Masking Puzzle
Is there a reason for having that breast plate in front of the head? You avoid this problem if you put all head parts on top.

Re: Drawing in bitmap directly in Moho
That's a good direction to think about. This summer I've used just a little bit of Moho's capabilities in that range, by creating textile textures with vector brushes so they could move and deform with everything else. Off the cuff I'd define the requirements like this: - easier layering of strokes ...

Re: Bind the same layer to two different bones
Stuff like this I do with the help of nested group/bone layers. Squash'n'stretch can be done without bones, I just have to place the origin correctly. So it's one origin on one layer and a different one on the other, this way they can be used separately.

Constraints, of course.
(Too many different programs. Stuff named differently each time.)

Didn't you use bone restraints at the knees?

Re: Lens flares: yes or no
When we did "Werner - Beinhart" in 1990 the storyboarders wanted to include several meta-gags with the camera, but to my knowledge only two survived: in one scene the main character hits the camera so it shakes a bit, and in another a handful of goo lands on the lens and slowly drips down....

Re: Internal Lip Sync, Papagayo, or manual?
Short answer - no.
Which method you use highly depends on your style of animation.
Very cartoony with exaggerated poses, old-style: Papagayo plus additional mouth shapes.
Kind of realistic, anime-style: automatic, with some tweaking.
You will always need to correct manually.

Re: Automatic Lipsync Tips $ Techniques
OK. The basic workflow is covered in the manual p. 248: you have a switch layer full of mouth shapes, you have imported a dialogue sound file, you assign this in the switch layer tab and voilà: mouth opens and closes according to sound. Let's explain this bit by bit. The following example here works...

Re: Automatic Lipsync Tips $ Techniques
You mean the one where you throw a soundfile onto a switch layer and it selects mouths according to loudness? I've used this a lot this year and could write up some tips, it's not that hard.

Re: Moho Roadmap?
Hre's something positive not worth for its own thread: Right now I do stuff with large bitmaps in very slow motion/scaling. In v11 I noticed that those were rendered badly, it looked like some wave distortion was applied to the bitmaps or a very lossy codec. (yes, "extra smooth images" was...
