Myles- Mine was a clean install, on a Win2k Pro (SP3) machine. Built the computer just after the first beta came out (one of the reasons I wanted some spiffier gear), so I never had 4.6 on this one. I've been wanting to use the lasso, a lot, but it hasn't worked for me. Tried the reboot as well, no ...

That was the first thing I checked out in the new Beta, and I find the same thing. I ran through you're checklist, and also tried to see if creating points before or after the lasso mode was first initiated made a difference. Not working. Maybe an older version of the script snuck into the install? ...

If that is what's being requested, it's kinda like the scale compensation for lines. A checkbox in the layer shadow properties would give you an option, which might come in handy is some cases. I might not use it much, but there are lots of things I've thought that about until I had them to mess aro...

What I've found so far is that layer ordering in 3D space is determined by the distance of the layers origin from the camera. I did a test on the file, moving the floor layer origin back behind the door in the overhead view, the same for the wall the door is set in and the doorway opening in the lef...

Kdiddy- Ah , you didn't do anything wrong. I just looked back at my post, and I musta been awful tired, 'cause I'm coming across as most unnecessarily harsh, and I've put on my hairshirt. I can sometimes run out of humor at the end of a 20 hour day. I'm sure that I'd seen way too many of the ego bit...

There are great opportunities for messing with the scripts, since LM was nice enough to make all the tools Lua. Even though I've broken a few things along the way, I've had fun diddling with the code in the tools while I'm trying to wrap my head around the scripting language. So far, the only tweak ...

I don't know about too many .OBJ files online, but I've found tons in .3DS format, and I just import them into Wings3D ('cause it's works, and it's free) them export 'em right back out as .OBJs. A little roundabout, but the conversion seem to work just fine for the purpose.

Meester Cheese! I've tried to play with it, but I'm coming up blank. If you've got it, please give us a play-by-play. I've been looking at that action menu for the last 3 weeks, but it's been a contiuous Huh? Too much time playing with 3D, I guess. I have insane amounts of work the rest of the week....

Hey Jeff- I'll give this a bit of a shot. First, I'll go to last request. I whipped up a Graticule for you. It's basically a grid, set to not render, immune to camera movement and depth of field, and with only outlines set on the layer visibility. Leave it as your uppermost layer and it seems to wor...

I've had that problem, and it's because, even though it looks like a complete shape, Moho is almost surely looking at it as at least a few different line segments. Moho won't do fills unless there is a closed loop around the shape. That means that there is at least one place on the drawing where the...

Stalti- I'm right there with you. I was just pointing out a particular thing Moho don't do. I'm all for keeping the topics focused, and its been seeming that anything concerning trad animation is subject to an awful lot of drift. Anyway. Even though traditional animation is never (I don't think)goin...

Actually, I would think that if you scale the layer, it should scale the origin with it so you don't get things bouncing around like that. If you translate the layer in the Z dimension, it doesn't happen. Or scale the points. It's a wee bit odd. I just checked and 4.6 does the same thing, but unless...

kdiddy13-

Just to point out, as far as I can tell so far, the tweening ability of the switch layers still depends on each sublayer having the same number of points. So I don't believe it's gonna work with anything like hand drawn, frame by frame stuff.

Dang, those ugly facts. Thanks LM. As it seems that is the way its gonna go, I was trying to figure out which way I was going to get nudged. I'll just have to plan for it. Only surprised 'cause there are too many new features and too little new manual. All in good time. Also, I just tried the same t...

Well, a few things. If what you mean by viewing angle is the apparent "focal length" on the camera, that get a big vote from me, as well as the show/hide and direct editing for the camera path. Although it seems a little buggy yet, if I've alternated right and left clicks on the keyframe p...
