I'm a hobbyist animator, too, at least in 2D. I've done some prfessional stop-motion animation. I'm 39, and this is the first time I've thought seriously about doing 2D animation, pretty much because of Moho. My first computer was a Timex-Sinclair, about the same age as you got your's, I think, and ...

Your dislike of the Freehand Tool is most likely due to the default settings. I find them way too point-heavy myself. For broad drawing, I use a pixel tolerance of 12, and an angle tolerance of 16 or 20. Most of the time for reasonable detail I use 8 and 12. A few explanations of what these numbers ...

Jeez, if Opus is 5 grand, I'd be afraid to ask what Symphony costs. Think I'll just stay with Moho and buy a car.

Shouldn't be hard. I just modified my Point reduction script to only work on the selected points (haven't put it up yet) but it should be easy to patch the Magnet tool. As soon as I get a chance.

In this case, masking. But first, you have to make an opening in the wall shape. I copied the points in the "hueco" layer, and copied them into the "pared_izq" layer, making sure that the points were all inside the points for the wall. Then I deleted the Shape already on the &quo...

The bone strength works 2 different ways, depending on the settings you are using. It's a lot more general if you are using the default settings(flexi-binding), but if you go to the "Bones" tab of the Bone Layer's Settings, you'll see the other option, which is Region Binding. The bones ef...

I've been using Sonic Foundry (now Sony) Vegas to put it together. Since it started out as multitrack audio program with a video window for sync, it's great (and easy) for sound. The new versions are much more video oriented but still are great for sound. Not to pimp for them, but they have a packag...

One of the problems I see with actuall inserting numerous separate audio file is simply the processor overhead. Moho's real-time display can bog down on complex animations already, and a lot of audio processing could slow it to a total crawl. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind having it as an optio...

Okay, I uploaded a modified version of you're file as main test-b.moho . One shows a bit of what I was talking about with splitting the arm in to top and bottom sections. The other is less manipulated but solve a lot of the problems. One, having a lot of points right near a joint is generally not su...

On the top toolbar, Animation>Select Soundtrack. In version 5, it's also at File>Import>Soundtrack. Hope that helps.

Nice. Good illustration, and I like the concept of spinning the wheels with bones. I probably would have done it with layer rotation, but I think the bone's probably give you easier to access control when animating. Cool.

Sorry, LM, I was just bloody tired and shoulda gone to sleep. I misread the numbers, was eyeballing an average, and should have said .3 anyway. I was also really talking about the max level. It just seemed a little odd that on a file that was normalized that you were only getting amplitude levels up...
