actually zbrush is priced very nicely compared to all the other $1000+ highend 3d packages, brush is up there with todays cg artists, and was used to model the orcs/ogre things in lord of the rings

i would agree with zbrush, but i also think you should take the time to understand how basic 3d works, you say youve tried all those programs, they are all quite similar. So im going to take a guess that you need to nut out the fundamentals of 3d modelling, then everything will fall into place. Also...

well i do visual jockeying on the side, and this sort of thing I do alot of (getting multiple video sources)

im sure you could find some free VJ software out there that will let you record the streams.
