ASP 6 files launch ASP 5 by default

When I double-click on an anme file that I made in ASP 6, the file launches my old copy of ASP 5. Naturally, ASP 5 then says it can't open the file. My workaround has been to open ASP 6 first, then use OPEN to select the file. But now...(sigh)...I am tired of using a workaround. How can I make it so...

Awesome animation and accomplishment, Mikdog!

No, it's a total and complete compliment. They're saying his art looks digital and doesn't try to look not digital, and they like that.

Duhrrrr. I should've got the Charles Joffe gag. I love Woody Allen.

Favorite Allen quote: "I don't want to achieve immortality through my work. I want to achieve it through not dying."

Another ASP animator in the show-me state? Sweet.

There's a lot of good stuff in your short; you're clearly off to a promising start.

It was produced?

Oh, I assumed you didn't since you didn't include any URLs in your cartoon.

Good for you, making people have to use a search engine to find out if you have a website.

Now that you've released your cartoon, you should create a website or a Facebook page ASAP. Your bio and contact information need to be out there. Studios may want to commission a cartoon or hire you as a writer.

Simultaneously one of the funniest and most offensive cartoons I have ever seen. I have an urge to compliment you while suffocating you with a pillow made from your own skin.

- Im gonna lock in the writer first to get the script for the first 2 episodes 100% competed - In the meantime, get 1 male and 1 female character designed so we have a theme that everyone likes. - I love the website idea, that would make everyone take it more serious. Then, figure out animation wit...

I neglected to mention background art. You should budget for that, too. Also, not everyone checks the 'Animation Jobs' subforum regularly. Getting a bunch of replies could take a while. Lastly, since you know how to make websites, you might consider setting up a website or blog as soon as you can - ...

Forget worrying about what 'real' studios are paying. That will only depress you. Just figure out your budget and divide it up. Let's say you have $5000 to spend on 20 minutes of animation... If you allocate $3600 for animation, you pay $3 per second. That leaves $1400 unspent. $1400 split down the ...

Mikdog is right. Because you are not paying, the odds are good that your animator will lose interest and quit. Fortunately there is one thing that you can do to greatly increase the odds of keeping an animator around: Make sure the script is funny. When your animator realizes the script isn't funny,...

When somebody offers a paying gig on this forum, it would be nice if people didn't suggest he or she pay more than their budget can afford. :(

Dryink, do you have a website? Has your studio animated anything before? Can you give a little more information about the project?

Thanks for elaborating on what you had meant, Rhoel.

I'm going to go back and number the scenes in my screenplay. Even though I'm the only person working on my animated film, numbering the scenes will make story-boarding easier.
