Re: Using an alpha channel in Lightworks editor
Thanks. I don't see any mention of alpha channels in Lightworks. They do have an option of using a mask, which seems to have to be a third separate source. AS doesn't have the option of saving the alpha separately does it? Oh, and I was able to load in the Underdog episode and look at it frame by fr...

Re: Using an alpha channel in Lightworks editor
Okay thanks, I read that somewhere else too. That's good to know. I just relaunched in 32 bit mode and I see QuickTime as an option.synthsin75 wrote:Quicktime is only available to the 32bit version of AS.
Now about the other question, still looking for an answer.
Thanks,

Using an alpha channel in Lightworks editor
I know this is less to do with AS and more of a Lightworks question, but I figure maybe someone out there uses these two together, since Lightworks is a free editing program. First, I need to know the best way to export my animation. I used to use Animation codec in Adobe After Effects, but I don't ...

Re: HELP! AS 9.2 crashed and will not re-start.
That is exactly what I did do, and it didn't help. The only thing that helped was rebooting.
Thanks though,

Re: HELP! AS 9.2 crashed and will not re-start.
Okay, I did a system reboot, and that worked, but I'm still looking for an answer, since this delayed start up has been an issue for awhile. This time it started right away. Before, when it wasn't starting, I checked and there was a process running, I just wasn't seeing an interface. Is there some s...

Re: Making Backgrounds
I use Lightwave 3D to make backgrounds. That way I can easily change camera angles.
I have also used actual watercolor on paper and then scanned it with manipulation in Photoshop.

HELP! AS 9.2 crashed and will not re-start.
Anime Studio Pro 9.2 has a problem. I had noticed the last time I started it, I had to wait like 20 minutes before the program started. Now, it won't start at all. My next course of action is a system reboot. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what to do. I have tried starting both the 64 bit and th...

Re: Get back all the export formats that I used to have?
I thought it should too, but it's not working. I can't see why it wouldn't, except that AS9 is 64 bit and QuickTime is not, I don't know. I think that may be the case. I just checked and QuickTime is NOT a 64 bit program, and I do have the latest version, but not the Pro version. AS9 x86 version doe...

Re: Get back all the export formats that I used to have?
I do have QuickTime, and AS 8 Pro can export QuickTime just fine. Do I have to have QuickTime Pro in order to save movies? I will try downloading the latest version and see if that helps. This is just one of formats that is missing. Where is Photo JPEG? I tried saving in some of the available codecs...

Get back all the export formats that I used to have?
I just upgraded to AS Pro 9, but I'm finding that my choice of export formats has dramatically diminished. QuickTime is no longer an option, which I'm very unhappy about, and I have very few codecs to choose from for AVI format. Usually my format of choice was QuickTime Animation codec. I am looking...

Re: Altering frames per second in project, keeping audio in
Well, maybe I'm wrong about that. I think I had just set my project settings to 29.97 fps, and therefor It wouldn't allow me to use footage at 24 fps. http://www.lwks.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45&Itemid=184 But , hey, it's free, so I can't complain. It wasn't that ...

Re: animated myself
I like your characters. They look really well done. Looks like you put a lot of thought and work into them. The backgrounds look a bit hasty though. I think if you worked on the backgrounds a bit more it would really help. Maybe do the backgrounds in Photoshop or GIMP or something rather than vector...
