If your question is can you bind a shape contained in one bone layer to a bone contained in another bone layer, then no. There are a couple ways to this. Put all your elements from scene one into a group layer, and all of your elements for scene two in another group layer. 1. For this I would use ctr+r and save as a png image. I would then re-import the image and use layer scale and layer translate to enlarge the area I wanted to show. Its the layer shadow and shading effects that are causing the problem. If you turn it off on the layers you have it applied to, the patches render fine. I don't use layer shadows much so I don't know why it messes with patches. It must push the shape in the z axis so that its in front of the patch. ...
