I've been having the same problem with slowdowns/sluggishness. I am now in the habit of periodically closing and reopening the program, which alleviates the problem. The 5.1 update did fix random crashes that I was experiencing, shutting it down every half hour or so is still necessary. I'm not com...

Re: One Possibility ...

Stephen, Does that happen consistently? I ask because 5.1 (Mac version) still has the issue where you have to restart Moho every (guessing here) 40 minutes to normalize CPU usage. So, if the problem only pops up after Moho's been running for X amount of time, maybe that's your culprit. If so, here'...

Strange sluggishness since 5.1 update.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this, but since I installed 5.1 on my Mac (OSX 10.3, 400mhz 384meg RAM), I have been experiencing a very sluggish user interface. I realize this problem was cleared up in an update before 5.1, and I was not having the problem then, but now double clicking does...

Just to close this thread, I've just installed version 5.1 of Moho and the problem appears to have been fixed: double-clicking works correctly and I can finally edit in the timeline... brilliant stuff! Thanks for the help and for fixing it. Interesting since I am using Moho 5.1 on OSX 10.3 and last...

Is there an particular reason for the combination of Jezus and the Ying-Yang symbol? Combining different religious/philosophical believes or am I going to deep into the subtext here? Reindert. www.nobudgetvideo.com I also asked this in a private message, I was not sure if it was a good idea to disc...

I think the Wings 3D program is free. http://www.wings3d.com/ <snip> After I did my own test "3D 2D" character animation - getting a similar effect as yours, my first reaction was "Why would I want to be making a 3D animation with a 2D animation program (Moho) - why not just do it in...

I re-rendered it without highlight, shadows and shading. I like this better.

That does seem to work quite well. May I ask why you used two different "heads"? On the extreme look left and then right, you can see the second one behind. Iit looks like what you have set up will be easy to use in animation. I did it all first without the second head, which is just a co...

Your animation is wonderful. I also tried what you did and posted my results under "An attempt at head turning".

I think it came out looking too 3D-ish.

Interesting effect. Have you tried doing the 3D animation effect as described in the Moho Users Manual in tutorial 6.8 (the "Import a Basic 3D Model" section) to compare the difference in final animation and amount of work one has to do to get the animation to work? No. I don't have any s...

An attempt at head turning

Here is my feeble first attempt at making a head turn. I took my avatar drawing and, as has been described elsewhere, I put the face features into separate layers offset from the face in the Z dimension. I added shading and shadows and a highlight on the forehead. The results is a little wierd. Sort...

In Moho the gradient does not "move with the object". It seems like this is a bad choice for moving objects, especially ones that rotate. Your animation points this out very well. What would be real nice is if you could specify colors at arbitrary control points of the object. This would c...
