Hi Slowtiger,

I tried what you suggested but im still encountering the same problems (keys getting all mashed together). Could you elaborate on what you thought might fix the problem?

Thanks for your time.

Hi Guys, Genete, thanks for your detailed reply - I get your technique using actions but I usually just use the copy frame function if I want to copy a pose rather than going through all the layers of an action (which could be loads!) and shifting and deleting keyframes. It would be amazing if you c...

Yeah, ive got things like different hands made out of photos in switch layers- each with their own skeletal system (impossible to use bones on switch layer to cover all hand shapes). Ive also got elements layered in different depths which means they have to be in seperate bone layers. What you say i...

Thanks for the rapid reply Vern. Ive tried using the key all and delete all scripts but unfortunately they don't work very well for me. 'Key all' does'nt seem to key every channel on every layer, and 'Delete all' gives me unexpected results. I get your technique of using just bones to animate but un...

Shifting Keyframes through all layers...

Does anyone have a good method of moving a set of keys around through all layers, from one frame to another? I have tried the rescale keyframes trick, for example: To move all keyframes on frame 20 ten frames back to frame 10 i would rescale keyframes as follows: start frame 20 end frame 21, to new ...

Is there any way of Moving a set of keys through all layers from one frame to another? I tried the copy frame technique which works fine but then im left with duplicate keys in the original location. I tried using the 'delete all keyframes' script but this comes up with some unwanted results where s...

Hi, Ive put these points elsewhere but am reposting them here in the vain hope that they're more likely to get implemented into the next version of AS! 1. Ability to move all keyframes through all layers (or ones selected by checkbox) on a particular frame to another frame. This is an asolute must f...

Using Curvature tool in Graph mode.

Hi, I dont know if this has come up before but it would be fantastic to be able to use the curvature tool to be able to adjust the Graph Lines. This would enable easier manipulation of 'ease-in/ease-out' as well as overall fine-tuning of the animation. I know bezier handles are out of the question b...

Yeah I second that, I use tiffs with alpha for other projects but AS forces me to use PNG's which does give that weird outlining effect:

viewtopic.php?t=9418

any support on avoiding this would be great!

cheers,

D.

'Paint' regions of influence

I was working with region-binding bones using bitmap images and it occured to me that it would be pretty cool to be able to 'paint' your regions of influence. This would mean that you could more accurately control what part of an image a bone moves (as well as quickly binding points), as of right no...

Hey Guys- Interesting thread- enjoyed reading. Right now im with Heyvern in that I have previously used both Flash and Illustrator's drawing tools, and was frustrated with Anime Studio's at first, but now actually like As's drawing tools better as I have gotten quite used to them (thats not to say I...

Thanks for sharing this Vern - I love it!!

I really like how you made a control that moves both the knee and foot together, was that done just by clever parenting?

Anyway I think its great- well done and thanks again :D

Ah, of course, increasing the Scale of the Constraints works much better for keeping them bones closer together-nice. I agree it would be great to assign different colours to bones- Also even just giving the notes different colours would be good, and I can't tell you how much assigning layers differ...

Cheers Vern thats brilliant! Works perfect for me. Yeah a way to enable it interactivley where something like .strch stretches the bone and .aim does what its doing right now would be another brilliant addition. Thanks for the very speedy reply also- Your the best! p.s Your leg rig is amazing but I ...
