Re: Selling Anime Studio Tutorials
does it look like a bad plan The vision seems good - but who can be sure of the result? If you haven't done it before you would surely learn a lot - both about producing tutorials and AS. If you begin allowing that you may not make any money then you can't fail. If you make any $$ - :!: :!: :!: bon...

Re: Selling Anime Studio Tutorials
@onurdemirsoy Sounds like a grand scheme. I don't see any SMicro problems as you are in fact mostly promoting their product. I do wonder about the financial viability. No doubt that some tutorials are far superior to others and you will probably find customers but... 5 hours is a lot of work. Have y...

Re: Scene Selector
Just a heads up to let you know that any update will be welcome.
I have an old version - Sept. 2009 - which finds files but can't create thumbnails.
Link to launch file works fine.

Re: patch - masking
Exactly it...! I got my version working quick enough from your example. Thank you for that. Reading around I can see there are a few masking permutations I still need to explore. > multiposting... forum life is a curious reality. I admire the more 'seasoned' of you that have the patience. I guess to...

Re: patch layer outline option
It is mostly me getting a sense of how the forum works. My assumption was that 'features request' has a rather slow life and is read by LM coders with a view to possible inclusion in some later version. Scripting on the other hand I assume is read by users into coding and a 'fix' could be relatively...

learning
Yes - learn masks.
Very much on the list of to dos.
I was surprised tho to see my mention/request on this in the script section removed.

Re: Custom Shortcuts
Allowing for the limited alphabet I am curious if there is indeed a way to extend shortcuts to cover ctrl+shift+?
assuming of course that I can indeed remember 25+ commands

patch layer outline option
It would be nice to have the option to select "exlude / include outline" when adding a patch. Even extra nicer would be editable points on the patch shape. I wonder if a lua scripter could tweak this? I shall enquire :P EDIT... context... I tried using a patch layer as - well, yes, a patch...

Re: patch - masking
Yes, layer duplication covers a lot of bases. At the moment the tree has no texture but I am thinking it will and patches [better to read 'overlayed vector objects'] will most likely not line up the tex. I will try visible/invisible toggle rather than altering the shape. A simple mask with 'ignore o...

patch - masking
scene - snake spirals upward around a tree. In front, then behind... etc. I tried using a patch layer to hide when behind. It works brilliantly - except there seems no way to include tree outline in the patch. Am I missing a checkbox? Is there a setting somewhere? If not I will add this to feature r...

Re: follow path: layer switch?
I had high expectations for follow-path with my snake character - as in "one method to cover all poses, etc..."
I am learning limitations (and strengths).

Re: LostMarble 2.0? Feedback appreciated.
I am a poor artist and animator - but have a passion and want to learn. I mess about with lots of digital stuff and I really like AS. [rave reviews on request :D ] I have a use for animation. I have fun playing about. Where/how do I learn? extend my playground? - using this software, the manual AND ...

Re: follow path: layer switch?
Thanks for the clarity slowtiger. I have done a bit more work and see that the path can be animated (I already have insects walking along a wind-blown vine) and the object layer can be scaled. BUT... there seems to be no way to animate the object points. Even just clicking a point causes weird conto...

Re: follow path: layer switch?
My thought is to have animation/action/transitions between the end of one path and the start of another. I am still developing the action but figure there will be some (complicated?) activity between the end of A and the start of B and start of C...? Lateral movement could be totally governed by one...
