If you don't care about your drawing, why would you draw?

Thank you, Selgin. You've solved my problem! I went into the menu and released the layer and tried Flexi-bind points, and that worked. I figured it was a simple and silly thing, and it was. I just hadn't used bones much before. Thank you so much!

Bones problem

I've been using Anime Studio since it was Moho, but I never really had any real use for bones until now, so I haven't really used them much. But now I want to use them to do something, but I can't get them to work. I've got a long shape I drew in Illustrator and imported into ASPro 6. I made a bone ...

Hi Muffy, I've been using a tablet for about 15 years, long before AS came along. I work a lot in Illustrator and Photoshop also. Before the tablet I used to draw freehand in Illustrator with the mouse, and it was like drawing with a bar of soap. When I got my first tablet (a Calcomp) it was a revel...

If you use Illustrator of Photoshop for your backgrounds save or export it as a PNG file, then you can import it into AS, gradients and all, as an image. Another good program for backgrounds is ArtRage, a fairly inexpensive but excellent painting program.

Is this a free or a paid upgrade? I got an email about it and when I went to the linked page it was listed as $129.99. If it's simply a bug-fix upgrade it would be nice if it was free.

What I wanted to do was line up the image with the grid, and then line up other things with it as well, so I wanted the grid to not move. I can see some usefulness in having a grid that can move with a layer, rotate, etc., but mainly when I use a grid it's as a reference for aligning things, so I'd ...

Thanks, Slowtiger. I'll give that workaround a try. You're right - the grid's behavior is not very useful; maybe that's why I don't use it very much.

thanks,

Keeping grid from moving

I'm using the grid to draw a bunch of lines which I'm then going to manipulate and make switch layers from. I'm using three different image files as references for how to draw the lines. I decided to use the grid as a snapping tool, and have set it to match the spacing of the lines in the images, bu...

The only trouble with that is that you can't see the line you're drawing either, until you finish drawing it.

Can you save them as EPS files? AS import menu shows EPS as an option, though I've never done it and I don't know if any EPS will import or if there are limits. Otherwise, save them out as PNG files (or take them into a program that will save PNG files, such as Photoshop) and import into AS as image...
