Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

I'll take a look at the shot list to see what can be eliminated. This may be a good time to explain part of the way I approach a project. When I write something I write it without thought to how it will affect production, then do a second and even a third pass with production in mind. This is really...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Thanks Jahnocli. I'd say work in whatever format you like best. Paper sounds fine. When you are ready just scan it or take a picture with your phone and email it as a JPG or GIF (or can images be posted in this forum?). I don't have a deadline, but it is probably a good idea to set one anyway, even ...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Thanks Iwaxana, I started by creating a shot list which I will paste below. I could begin the storyboard but I wonder if someone with better drawing ability might be interested? Then the storyboard can be used as the animatic. Anyone interested in working on the sound? This would entail both music a...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Iwaxana, I have the zombie as a story outline in paragraph form but no script. Since it is so short and has no dialog or scene changes I think it could move from this outline directly to storyboard without much difficulty. Here is the story in a nutshell. I am guessing this is somewhere between one a...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

BoJack Horseman is a Netflix original animated series. It's only been out about a month or so and is only available on Netflix. It is definitely NOT for kids as it has plenty of colorful language and situations; more than your typical network sitcom. It's about a horse with a human body who was a si...

Re: Which is best? Smart Bone dial controls or Blend Morphs

Thanks for pointing out that you have to select the layer with Blend Morphs. I had run some basic tests using both methods and my files were so simple that concept just didn't get noticed. I can see where having control of everything at the top with bones is an improvement in workflow. Once the anim...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

At the moment I have two ideas cooking. One is zombie story that I estimate would result in about a two minute finished piece. It has no dialog and is a simple gag. I am trying to decide on the art direction/character design but I am only so-so at drawing and my style is cartoony. I'm not sure that ...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Thank you for your reply, jahnocli.

Do you have skills in character design or were you looking for help in that area?

Assuming that CPU power isn't an issue, have you had a better results using one over the other?

Re: Bone Rigging & Bone Bonding

If I understand your description and question correctly, yes; bones can be used to manipulate an image file. I am not clear as to whether you are using a single composite image or a series of cut-out images, but it will work with bones either way. Just drag your image layer on top of your bones laye...

Anyone interested in teaming up?

On a different post I mentioned the idea of teaming up with a few others, and so I thought I would propose something and see what kind of response I received. Like probably most of you I am a hobbyist and I work on my own small projects by myself. I am just throwing this concept out there to see wha...

Re: Motivation?

I have the same problem. I work in isolation on my own projects, which I think is a huge contributing factor. On the one hand I love the freedom and control that working alone provides. On the other hand, doing everything myself means that the work goes slow and I loose steam. This is especially tru...

Which is best? Smart Bone dial controls or Blend Morphs

I've been playing around with options for creating character rigs and it occurs to me that there are two methods of rigging controls into a character: -Smart Bone Dials -Blend Morphs I am trying to determine the advantages and disadvantages of each method for rigging a character's head and facial fe...
