Re: Tips on drawing character for rigging

It's an interesting topic. I agree with Markus in most of the points. If you are making something short, it's better to have simpler rigs that can do the tasks you want. In the movies I have worked on, we usually create very simple rigs, animate the main movement and arcs with bones and then the det...

Re: Bone A randomly driven by bone B

I have a setup that could create something similar to what you are looking for (if I understood the idea). Please check this file . I have these 4 Bones: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5qxhkrwhyhp5dzr/Bone_A_B_Random.jpg?raw=1 Here's how it's setup: Bone B 's angle is controlled by Bone C by a very high ...

Re: Star wars visions 2

Visions 2 is now available on Disney+. I haven't been able to watch all of them yet, but I had the luck of working in Cartoon Saloon's "Screecher's Reach". There's a lot of Moho in it. The approach of mixing traditional + rigged animation was similar to what we did with "Wolfwalkers&q...

Re: Why can I not reparent this body bone to the Root?

If I'm following this correctly, it looks like the Bone you want to use as root is already a child of the next bone, so you will have make a couple changes in the hierarchy: - You need to be on frame 0 (unless what you want is to animate the bone hierarchy) - Select the bone you want to use as root,...

Re: Loop animation: export

Hello, Olga. I think there are at leat three options for what you want: - Export your 36 frames animation as an animated gif. By default, the gif will loop forever. - If you want to loop an exported video indefinitely, you can export the 36 frames as a video and setup your video player to loop it (m...

Re: MSVCR100.dll couldn't be found!

MSVCR100.dll is a Microsoft file, so it sounds like your Windows system is either missing that file or that file has gotten corrupted somehow, making it impossible for Moho to access. You can try this. Go to this Microsoft webpage https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported...

Re: Bone Dynamics-Bone starts wiggling like crazy on play back

It's hard to know without seeing the actual file and there are many factors that could affect this: dynamics values, angle constraints, hierarchy, smart bones, etc.

Maybe the first half of this tutorial could help:

Re: Uneven strokes using a special brush

Thanks for sharing your animation and BTS explanation Victor, and please keep up the great work! 😸 Thanks, Dennis! Natural pencil look and feel with that brush is great, the best I ever saw for Moho Thanks, Onionskin. I really appreciate it. I'm very excited with the possibilities this 'new' use of...

Re: Uneven strokes using a special brush

Maybe you already watched this one, since we shared it on the Moho social media. When I was playing with these new brushes, I saw this illustration created by Chris Chatterton and thought it could be fun trying to reproduce the style. Here you have from left to right the original version, the one wi...

Re: Uneven strokes using a special brush

Yes, the vector noise settings can be very interesting too! Thanks for the idea, Onionskin. Some time ago I was playing with the idea of brushes + vector noise for texturing. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0vlgyibly4tmqp1/noise_brush.png?raw=1 https://www.dropbox.com/s/f8nhegxk2qresbq/noise_brushes2.gif?...
