That was really fun and well done! Lots of nice work on the character shadows throughout.

I've had this problem before.:)

My simple solution was to prerender the dress as a .png, import the .png, then warp the .png with the underlying bones. Be sure to render the .png at a much higher resolution that what you plan to use in your project so you won't get any jaggies.

I haven't experimented with blurring in Moho 5, but I've noticed in Moho 4 that there is a noticeable transition between a blur setting of "0" and a blur setting of "1". For those shots where I need the blur setting to go from "0" to "10", I've taken to starti...

Imo, Moho's switches are ideally suited to doing South Park style animation, especially lipsynch. Just my 2 cents.

Oh. Based on the first few posts I thought we were talking about the behavior of the quality settings and how layers are represented in the display window. Thus my comment.

Actually, the transparency option in Display Quality only applies to individual shapes. Overall layer transparency cannot be previewed in the editing view, and must be rendered to be seen. This was a change from the previous version, right? It seems like the old wireframe mode is no longer availabl...

I just finished watching it. What a terrific bit of work! Until I read your explanation, I couldn't figure out how you managed the paper. Really wonderful. I have to say, in my mind, the limitations of Moho's 3d environment lend themselves to storytelling and easy animation in a way that the full bl...

Squeaky Dave uploaded a nice "3d" carrot to the old Yahoo file space, if I remember correctly. In that case, the nose (and the rest of the face) layer floats in front of the head layer (literally, toward the camera on the z plane), and is rotated around the head. Alternately, you can setup...

Well, that does make sense. So do you lads use a drawing tablet to rough out characters in moho? It occurs to me that in that case you could use the "roll camera" control to achieve the same effect, if I understand correctly. As always, thanks for insight. Kind regards, Dave (Boy does that...

What do you mean by rotating light table, Dave? Something for cycling through animation frame by frame? No doubt, a term I should already know! :)

Thanks,

I wonder if there would be a way to create the storyboards in moho (with some minimal animation), render them to a flash file, then show multiple flash files on a single html page, thus creating a moving storyboard that you can look at and scan through in your web browser. Does flash let you have mo...

I could see them doing it, simply because it'd save them a bucket load of development time, and they could repackage it and sell it as an upgrade or a new product that introduces a new feature set.

Much as I hope it doesn't happen, I wouldn't blame Lost Marble either.

Someone from here gave this link on a different thread. This is a very cool, free package that simulates all those different mediums. It seems like there have to be some neat ways to imtegrate this into a moho animation.
