The things you mention, walking, turning, move hands and legs, are things that are not best done with switch layers. Also, you will find that specific questions will get quick and specific answers. Questions that are too general, or ask for an impossible amount of information in one post, will gener...

Hi, Mostly I think is was the taxi cab going around the corner in the first part of the film that made me think 3D. Also the way the camera moved through the backgrounds. The human characters sure do look like flat 2D cutouts, though. I just now watched it again to refresh my memory and noticed that...

If you're a Chuck Jones fan than I'm sure you're familiar with The Dover Boys.
Thanks for that comment. My next project is a bit longer, and I hope a LOT better. I'm working on the character designs now, and the script recording runs 9 minutes 30 seconds!!!

Fascinating. I counted 132 shots in that storyboard. I wonder how long that episode was? Just recently I watched a single five minute episode of Fractured Fairy Tales and paused the DVD to count each change of shot or camera angle. In only 5 minutes there were 122 different camera setups! I imagine ...

OK, I found something that worked for me. Try this. Go to the link. Then view source (click on View > Source). In the source version, at the bottom of the file is some HTML code. </object></layer></span></div></table></body></html><!-- adsok --> <script language='javascript' src='https://a12.alphago...

Sounds like there are some characters in the file that Notepad can't handle. I've had that happen with other files of my own. Once opened in a text editor and saved, they can't be opened in AS because the text editor dropped characters it couldn't deal with. Try downloading the link directly to disk...

Here's a thought that just occurred to me for water or ice reflections. Say you wanted some skaters on ice to have their reflections seen in the ice. Render the skaters as a series of PNGs, then take the PNGs into Photoshop and mirror them top to bottom and apply some blurring effects. Then make the...

Thank you everyone for your kind remarks. Looking back at the animation myself, I see many, many things that need to be fixed or improved. But I guess I have to start somewhere. :D Right now I'm deep in research, learning form the great masters. (Which is another way of saying I just got the complet...

Finally! My very first real animation is done.
Well, here it is, my first Anime Studio animation (other than just tests and tutorials) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBndWASgxsA There's a lot of room for improvement, but hey, it's only my first try. My next project is to explore and learn about "Limited Animation" in the style of Jay W...
