I'd love to have bitmap drawing tools in ASP. I would use those tools to make animatics - then, when everything was just right , I would animate the vector art above the animatic. That would rock. 8) Alas, for some reason, I don't feel comfortable sketching with vectors. I need bitmap tools. Heck, I...

I was thinking that if there was only one animator, then the animator was also the Storyboard Artist and the Art Director, and he would therefore do whatever he felt best. But you're right. If the writer wants more influence over the animator, using the animation format in the script would help him ...

Marvink, consider finding an animator to collaborate with on making a short animated trailer for your script. If you post a trailer for your movie on the internet and get lucky, somebody with gobs of money may see it and pay you to make the animated film. Something like that happened recently with t...

What you said is exactly what a thief would say if he wanted a free copy of Anime Studio, so I'm not surprised that Smith Micro didn't hand over a serial number.

And why shun away from something like perspective? Of all the things, it's the easiest. It can be learned from a book, done with a ruler and can even be calculated if one wants to. It doesn't take hundreds of drawings to master. It's easy . I agree; perspective is easy. That's exactly why I tend to...

Linear perspective can make a background appear unimaginative.

I think that's why so many animators shun perspective. They would rather their backgrounds appear creative than technically precise.

You can animate several scenes within one animation. Merely use the camera tools to instantly zoom from place to place.

For example, you could draw a castle over here, a spaceship over there, and a room in the spaceship someplace else, then jump from scene to scene via camera moves.

Re: Sperm Song

Pretty good for a beginner. Most beginners avoid lip sync, but you started with it. You're off to a good start.

Funny ending. :)

^I read that tutorial and I think I got it working a little better... still need to play around with it tough. Especially the legs because the knee just keeps turning to mush when it bends. >__< If you don't have any points at the knee, then add some. With Region Binding, you need points at locatio...

The more Happyland shorts I watch, the more I feel like I'm watching Mikdog slowly descend into madness. I'm worried that the final short will depict Triangle crying at the bottom of a pit, and Heavy lowering a bucket with skin lotion in it. Heavy: "It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it ge...
