...and if that doesn't work, maybe you didn't bind the layers to the bones.

Select the Bind Layer tool.
Click on a layer (to select it).
In the workspace, click on the specific bone that you want that layer to attach to.
You have just bound the selected layer to that bone.

Repeat for each layer.

Now to hope the 'Rotate to Follow Path' problem can be solved.... Drag your final Translate Layer keyframe so that it is one additional keyframe beyond your animation. For example, if your cartoon ends on frame 500, drag that keyframe to frame 501. Your car will then not revert back to the orginal ...

Re: Joe Scaponi - Customer From Hell - Short Cartoon in Dev

Cool. Excellent design for the head. I like how the guy dragged out his esses. Cowsssssssss. The blinks seems a little too fast, and the whisker stubble seems like it should move with the mouth. Since this is just a test animation, though, and you didn't ask for criticism, I probably shouldn't menti...

Neat-o.

When I test a feature, I usually only make a blob shape and move it around.

Copy and paste the keyframes on the timeline (like you did). You now have the original dance and a copied dance appearing on the timeline. Turn on the Onionskins feature. Add an onionskin to the last frame of the original dance. Choose the Translate Layer tool. Move the Timeslider on the timeline to...

I just re-watched your cartoon. Good news: the sword you drew is not a katana after all! Katanas are longer and have curved blades for slashing. You drew a ninjato, which is the proper sword for a ninja. :D The bad news, I guess, is that you called it the wrong name in your movie. Anyway, I thought ...

Will you be changing it to a shuriken?

Re: How do I turn off the outline on AS6 pro?

Press Q to get the Select Shape tool.

Click in a shape to select it. The shape will get checkerboardy.

Now...click the red checkmark in the STROKE box to remove the check. Removing the red check removes the outline.

Tah dah!

Re: Flyer, movie team.

Can you provide some information about the project. Is it a series pilot, for example? What genre is it?

What role(s) will you play, besides directing the animation?

Has anything already been completed, and if so, what? For example, first draft of a script, scratch dialogue recorded, etc.

I'm on a Mac.

"Allow Frame Skipping" does not work.

My animation was playing slow in the work area.

I used a stop watch to verify my suspicion. "Allow Frame Skipping" had no effect; it did not speed-up the animation to the proper speed.

Re: character design considerations

long legs or short legs?? big eyes or small eyes?? and so on. For your first character, go with short legs and big eyes. Most cartoon characters have these characteristics. For your second character, also go with short legs and big eyes, but make the eyes even bigger. However, keep the legs the sam...
