Sorry to bump this, but I still haven't figured it out. Could it be that Anime Studio's 3D engine doesn't support this kind of transparancy?

PNG on OBJ looses transparency quality

I have a PNG texture I use on an OBJ that has semi-transparant parts. When I import this OBJ into AS the transparancy just has pixels that are either 100 % visible or non-visible. This also causes ugly aliased edges on the textures. Does anybody know why this is and if it can be prevented somehow? W...

Could you post some sketches and maybe a modelsheet of the character? I find that working on paper gives a more intuitive and lively design and I am wondering how your turtle looks on paper.

I got that from the first time watching the animatic, so I'm pretty confident it will work out in the final version as well. Can I be a nitpicker? I think the bubbles in the up-shot look a bit strange, because they clearly are flat cirkels moving up in perspective, while they should feel more round,...

I am sure it isn't my fault, because if I try with explorer I have no problem getting on the forum. It also seems that even if I tick "remember me", firefox keeps forgetting my details or something.

Firefox trouble logging in

Every now and then it seems impossible to log in with Firefox. I enter my user and pass and the page just refreshes, or I return to the mainforum window without having logged in. The problem occurs every now and then and resolves itself after a few days. Does anybody know what is going on?

You probably know you can set the interpolation to other settings right? I ssually put it on linear and then animate the ease in and out by hand. The default interpolation of AS feels rather bad and lacks good controls.

Looking good so far! There is a URL button at the bottom of my posts. I don't think we ever spoke though.

Hey Leo, I'm in the HKU animation class before you right now, your project looks cool, I'll be following it closely. I am actually considering doing my final film with AS as well. Maybe you could post that other project you did with AS? Tegen de wind in? When do you have to have your film done btw?

Thanks Heyvern, I'll look into that. Another feature I'd like to add is the option to include or exlude a shapes' outline when it functions as a mask for something else.

Thanks Heyvern, that makes sense. It still makes for some extra work for each scene though. Would it be possible to make a script that turns off all the outlines and one that makes all the fills white in the scene? That way I could render the scene twice and composite those and there's no need for a...

1. Definately one of the most important missing features at this moment, animateble shape and layer order. 2. Rethink the way the tools work a bit. Half of the time I am selecting a tool only so I can deselect some points, then selecting other points and going back to tool b. 3. animatable line hidi...
