Change a movement without affecting everything before it

There is sure to be a ridiculously simple answer to this query - but for the moment I'm stuck. I'm experimenting with imported images which are assembled to make a character. OK so far. I've animated a simple left-to-right movement over frames 1-72 as a test and everythig works. I then wanted to mov...

Re: motion blur

What you can do, though, is export a limited number of frames (frame x to x) to check for the desired result. So you wouldn´t have to render the whole animation That's a very useful tip. I made the same assumption as Reelfunny (great name, by the way). I think a lot of people coming to AS without a...

Really interesting - it would be even better if the movies could be downloaded as mpegs, avis or movs to be watched offline or dipped into as and when necessary.

Anime Studio: The Efrontier Official Guide - any news?

Just wondering if anyone 'on the inside' knows if and when this book is due for publication. The Amazon website seems to suggest October 18th. Anyone know? And will it be worth buying ...... time will tell. But at least it might overcome the lack of an in-program text-based help file. http://www.ama...

Mmmm - might be interesting, but having flipped through those pages that are visible, and seen a few references to AS controls and features, I'm unsure whether this is first-and-foremost a book about drawing and THEN a book about AS, or a book primarily about AS and it's drawing controls. Wouldn't ...

Voice and sound synthesis

Some people, I know, use advanced and sophisticated software for creating and changing sounds - so these 3 little programs won't be of much interest to them. But if you're like me (simple and unsophisticated and possibly of an age where a screenful of dials, waveforms, piano rolls and obscure button...

As far as having .... paint tools, personally I don't want those tools in AS I was probably thinking idealistically rather than realistically ... more along the lines of having an option to associate an imported file with an 'external' editing program so that you could go straight to that, carry ou...

Thanks Vern. Just tried that and it's exactly what I meant. My list is a lot more simplistic than most - but as I said in the intro, it's from my perspective as a newbie to AS and (despite a couple of years using Tales Animator and a lifetime enjoying reading about animation) a newbie to the actual ...

My perspectives are those of a ‘newbie’ who is teaching himself to use ASPro. My suggestions might therefore seem simplistic – but I feel that any future upgrades of AS need to allow for the fact that it is likely to be used by beginners and amateurs as well as experienced professionals. I therefore...

Zoom certainly zooms, but how do you keep it under control?

Is there a trick to keeping the Tools/Zoom function under control? (1) I've been using it to edit vector points in outline shapes and have been trying to zoom in to work on particularly 'over populated' areas. Dragging the mouse or using the centre wheel seems to work slowly at first then it's as if...

I guess you thought that once you´ve rendered the graphics they will show in a rendered version in the working viewport - but they don´t Yes. I assumed that once rendered, the viewport window would change to reflect the final image. Does this mean that you can never see the form of your final movie...
