Importing multiple images
This little tip came about as a result of a query I posted into the general discussion thread. I was frustrated at seeming to have to import one image at a time. Two or three different solutions were offered by other users, but after a bit of trial and error I discovered that this was fastest one f...

Just a quick update. Yes - that last upload worked perfectly and just like Heyvern said, the updater installed without a hitch and without asking for re-entry of the registration code. My problem was caused by downloading the wrong updater (the one for the Standard version). So, next job ----> trawl...

Do you have Pro or Standard? I have Pro. And yes, it looks like I didn't grab the correct updater. So at this very moment I'm downloading the alternative file: http://my.smithmicro.com/mac/animepro/updates.html [ Anime Studio Pro 5.6 Win - 108.9 MB (zip) ] Thanks once again . Here's hoping. (Think ...

Ah - I recall seeing in some earlier post elsewhere in the forum that after updating, someone couldn't get the program to recognise the registration code. That just happened to me. I didn't Copy/paste and the code was typed in accurately. My Anime Studio folder is efrontier, but I doubt that that ha...

IMPORTING MULTIPLE IMAGES INTO ANIME STUDIO Experienced users will know the answer, but I didn't when I posted my original query. I tried the suggestion which was subsequently posted, but couldn't make it work. Then, after trial and error I found the answer. Isn't it obvious when you know how???? F...

Any further thoughts about pros and cons of 5.6
I've now trawled the forum and have found several interesting (and often woe-ridden) posts about the merits or otherwise of 5.6 (eg: not recognising registration details; timeline bugs; not reading existing 5.5. files etc. etc). A few months have passed since those posts, so what are users' current ...

Artoonix - traditional but versatile
For a year or so I used Artoonix which was originally created for use by younger users. However, it is capable of far more than seems obvious. There are two galleries of uploaded examples. One of these is full of really short 2 or 3 second 'tests' by just a few users. The 'Featured Gallery' is bette...

Importing image(s) and a query about 5.6
I've just returned to Anime Studio Pro after (a) a couple of serious illnesses and operations, and (b) a spell of time using Artoonix. I have a simple query about importing images to which I might have known the answer some time ago, but if I did, I've forgotten. IMAGE QUERY: You can import single i...

Re: Easier move/scale/rotate layer tool
[Creatoon] had one nice feature that Moho could really benefit from, a combined move/scale/rotate tool. I agree. I'm teaching myself to use Creatoon at the moment as I like the 'cut-out' style of animation ..... but the tool you desicribed has one huge disadvantage. It can easily become almost invi...

Re: manual labor
I think one of the weaknesses of this program is its documentation. I'm in total agreement - which is why I keep banging on about the need for a traditional, SEARCHABLE type of help file. And it’s just not me who has this opinion --- this from a review of AS …. http://www.vnunet.com/personal-comput...

Look at these two nearly identical animations: ( Get this Anime Studio file here ) Forgot to say Thanks Vern, for this little file. It's the kind of ultra-simple example that should be seen as the kind of thing that REALLY helps newbies to AS and computer animation. (Shame there isn't a library of ...

Being a very simple person and a newbie to AS, I'm using a very straightforward and VERY basic approach. I'm copying and using backgrounds from the Extras section of 'Tales Animator'. This used to be my main animation program. (Yes, yes, I know it was designed for children and you used scripts (lite...

I'm guessing that, like me, you come from a traditional animation background?. To be strictly honest, I don't really come from any animation background because, apart from using 'Tales Animator' (which uses a wholly different approach), AS is my first serious foray into the world of animation .... ...
