It would ad a lot of life to the walk if you have the mouses head bobbing a little, plus his other arm should move a little, even with his hand in the sweat shirt like it is. This is called "secundary action" isn't it? I think it is one of the hardest things to do without messing up the p...

Here's the improved version , again DivX** Quicktime movie (143 Kb) and here is the new zipped Moho source (29 Kb). Wow, what a difference in both appearance and file size (the Sorenson Video 3 file grew from 184 to 950 Kb, just from editing a few things). **Note: I used the 3ivx D4 4.5.1 export fil...

Thanks for that input, LittleFenris. It seems easy enough to implement.

[newbie] Talking rabbit's head

I've made an animation using a MP3 download from moviewavs. Here is the DivX Quicktime movie (79 Kb) and here is the zipped Moho source (27 Kb).

Maybe next time I do lip synch, I'll use Papagayo and more mouth forms (now only open and closed).

Not this: throw, bend, reach up arms. But in real life these actions aren't possible as well? I guess in real life it goes like this (overlapping actions between square brackets): thro..[prepare to bend]..w, ben..[prepare to reach up arms]..d, reach up arms. The overlapping animation (between [ ] )...

I noticed something else when I watched Rosie again. The dragon's (walking from right to left) right leg is taking too long steps in comparison with the left leg.

Is this what is meant by the Moho flow, or is it simply an animation error?

Try making a multi-appendaged character move from one action to another and see if you experience the Moho Flow. Ah, I see what you mean :D I tried to do what you suggested and used the character from the Moho tutorial file (5.6) and animated it in keyframes. It needed a lot of tweaking, because th...

@Toontoonz: Personally I don't like the whole idea of using actions, because they seem too restrictive to me. I guess repetitive action can just as well be done by copying keyframes and tweaking the animation from cycle to cycle, so it doesn't look so "mechanical". The "Moho look"...

@Toontoonz: You are right. Give the bones names and you can control them.

Wouldn't this solve the problem of floating animation?

No, I just checked. Only 3D layer and camera manipulations (translate, rotate, sheer and so). No bone or shape manipulations, which would make tweaking your animation much easier.

If you have an external harddisk, you could make a backup with Carbon Copy Cloner of your internal harddisk and restore OS X 10.3.9 from the external HD if Tiger appears to be incompatible with some of your non-Apple software. Anyway, Moho wasn't listed in the Incompatibility page of MacInTouch. Of ...

I read in the article Computer Animation 101: A Guide for the Computer Illiterate Hand-Animator the following about function curves in 3D animation: Function curves are one of the most important tools a computer animator has. The term varies from program to program. Motion graph, velocity and channe...

Re: 2d games with moho

This would be a cool feature or a companion separate app. [snip] well I don't know how it'll work I just know it'll be nice function or app to add. It would probably require a separate rendering library and a programmer's toolkit to render the Moho text file, as well as a game construction kit. I'm...
