As if we needed more reasons to get excited for 2.8. They added a curve tool to grease pencil!

Re: about Game engine for json
I showed this thread to a game developer friend of mine. He said that json is just a file format, like a text file. There would need to be plug-ins developed for all the game engines that would implement Moho's functions exactly. That's a big deal. Not something that can be outsourced for a few hun...

Re: about Game engine for json
My quote would be much higher than that. It's not a small task. I would too, but they might find someone willing to do it for that price. On fivver, I've seen coders from India, China and Philippines build entire apps for dirt cheap. They have an advantage living in a place where the monthly income...

Re: about Game engine for json
If enough people are interested in this, they could start a money pool and hire a scripter to make a json exporter that works with the spine or dragonbones importer. This would probably cost at least $1000. If you hire someone from India or Indonesia, you might be able to get it for less.

Re: Stylit convert 3D object into a hand drawn style drawing
I'm guessing that it's using a constitutional neural network that's been trained for style transfer. The program renders the 3d scene like normal, then samples the style created by the artist, then applies it to the render using the neural network. Re: VS Blender
I love Blender and Moho. I often use them together, but if you're interested in just 2d animation then Moho is the more established program. The Blender 2d features are still in alpha and will probably take years to mature and work their way into a professional pipeline. I love what Blender is doing...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
Stacking layers top-down for back-front made me laugh. WHY??? Oh, yeah, it's Blender. I'm actually looking forward to trying 2.8 out. I'm sure it will be cool but getting mentally prepared for more stuff like that. :) The layer stacking is annoying, I agree. They are clearly considering render orde...

Re: Moho Developers, A Newcommer Has arrived ( BlenderGrease
So please don't try to sell me a software with one of the worst interfaces I've ever seen, a time waster, a single black hole of frustration. If they overhaul the interface I might give it another try. If that grease pencil thing is used in real production, I might get interested, but still I bet t...

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
I tested out the alpha for 2.8 and it's shaping up to be amazing. The new grease pencil objects use a layer system similar to Moho and other drawing programs which is really nice. I think it will be super easy to create switch layers simply by toggling the visibility of these layers.

Re: Blender New Innovative 2d Animation "GP Tools"
So far the drawing tools are nice, but there is room for a ton of improvement. For example, the draw straight lines feature is permanently mapped to alt+right click and ctrl+right click with no way to unbind them. Also, the eraser is permanently mapped to right click, which is extremely annoying as ...
