I've managed to rough something out and it does seem to work. It's late where I am so I'll probably call it quits and finish it tomorrow. There's a problem where if you stay on the same frame and move the view the shape expands because the script is refreshing using the new values, but if you change...

Thanks. While you're online heyvern it'd be good if you could check out my post in the pose thread on the scripting forum and tell me if I'm on the right track.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't it be possible to use pose morphing together with any other sort of animation if you calculated the morphs in terms of their difference from a neutral pose, rather than as absolute values? So frame one is a neutral pose, the point position difference in frame 2, 3, etc...

Constrain bone scale to bone position?

Is there a script floating around that can constrain a bone's scale to another bone's position? For example, a y of 0 on the control bone makes the constrained bone's scale 0, y 1 = scale 1, etc.
I did a bit of a search but couldn't turn anything up. Not even sure if it's possible.
Thanks.

Patrick, perhaps the judges liked it specifically for its shortness. Who knows? Rules are rules is all. In other competitions I've entered a second out is a second too much, which is a bit of a bastard but at least it's fair. Also, the third place winner was 2:15 minutes long. I don't intend to be p...

Lol, I don't know, it doesn't seem fair that the winner didn't stick to the rules. "The animation must be between 30 to 60 seconds in duration. This should make the competition achievable by everyone while allowing those who favor epics a little leeway." I had a bit of a struggle to keep w...

Heh, you've been a bit muddled up there J. baker. That's my contest entry, that human so kindly rendered and hosted for me to take a look at.

Thanks for that human.

Thanks. Yeah, working with one file was becoming a real pain towards the end. It would freeze for a little while every time I saved, and I'm a compulsive saver.

I submitted an entry. I only have the demo version so I can't render it out, but here's a link to the .ANME file if anyone's curious. http://ia341218.us.archive.org/0/items/MyEntry/Entry.zip It took about twice as long as it should have, because I didn't know what I was doing when I started. Ah well.

Just thought I'd check if we have an answer to the above question yet, since the competition deadline is looming.

I'm also new so if someone wants to override my answers feel free. #1. I can only assume you have to have the same number of control points throughout the animation. Otherwise where would the point go or come from? #2. As answered above. #3 & 4. If you right click on a keyframe you're given seve...

Fish-eye lens.

So I'm new to anime studio and after running through all the tutorials and reading a bunch of threads on here one of the few features it seems to be lacking is a fish-eye lens effect. It would be really handy and makes for a professional looking cartoon, so I was wondering if anyone had any idea on ...
