Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Nick, If you don't mind I would like to offer some suggestions regarding your script. I only read about 3/4 through it but I think I get the gist of it. When people sit to watch a show, the first questions they have in their mind are: What is this about? Why do I care? If it is a comedy then the exp...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

This question is for anyone; but hopefully one of the moderators will chime in. I am going to start a new thread that is exclusive to the zombie project, per Neeter's recommendation. Should I put the new thread in the "Animation Jobs" section, or move it to the "Share Your Work" ...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Zombie Status Update Steve, since this thread is getting long and contains other sub topics, I consider starting a new thread devoted exclusively to this project, perhaps including a link back to this one for background. For my progress, I have one view done so far based on jahnocli's swell drawing...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Zombie Status Update Although I don't have anything to post I wanted to keep you posted on the status. I spent quite a bit of time doing point reduction in all three existing views. Although I want to remain as true as possible to the original design; in the interest of simplicity (and therefore pro...

Re: how to put vector layers in group layers?

Especially when vector layers r too far away from group layers the drag n drop thing is a long jouney. I had the same problem on my first big project. Instead of dragging multiple layers and trying to scroll up to put them into a Group layer, I created the Group layer directly above the vector laye...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

I finished creating all three views: The original 3/4, the side, and the front. They eye problem is fixed and as far as I know I have addressed all of the feedback. I think the hair looks a little funny, so I will work on that. Lessons learned: I wish I had drawn out each of the views using paper an...

Re: Smart Bones Dial Going Wrong

n frame 1 I moved the bone dial to the left where I wanted the eyes to be open before moving to the next frame and moving the bone dial to the right and closing the eyes. When I go to mainstream and move the dial to test it out it doesn't move like I want it to. When I move the bone dial to the lef...

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

I'm having the exact same problem with my eyes and mouth. As you can see here the pupils and teeth turn invisible when they're moved off the face like they're supposed to. But when I move the mouth and the eyes they don't disappear AND reveal the pupils and teeth. I've tried changing the layers aro...

Thank you; that fixed it.

A by-product is that my nested masks for the beard/mouth don't show up right on the canvas. They do render correctly, however.

Sorry, but nothing shows when I click the icon. Was this an example of the masking settings?

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

They eyes are in a group layer, which are in turn contained in another group layer for the character. What masking settings are required to make it work?

thanks.

Here is a video of the 6-frame head turn. Notice the eyes (they are hard to miss).

Re: Anyone interested in teaming up?

Based on feedback, I made the following changes to the character: - Sharper cheek bone (at the bend) - Texture in beard: I basically just added some lines under his lip. I also added a simple shadow to see if that would contribute to the sense of depth. - Redid eyebrows to make them enclosed - Varie...

Re: Character design tips in AS 10

I will try to answer you question, if I understand correctly. The Bone Dial is merely a Control; it doesn't create anything. It is like a volume knob or a slider on your stereo; none of which create anything in an of themselves. They are just objects that you can manipulate to accomplish something e...
