Nice colors and mood in the scenes. My favourite is #2, I liked the blurry trees in the distance, and also that you use white as a sky colour, adds alot to the contrast and the depth of the scene I think. In #3 I think the man has a bit of a jerky movement that makes it easy to spot the loop. Keep u...

Thank you Redeye! Thats fantastic! How long did it take to construct the raven in AS, and how many bones to control it? Constructing the raven maybe took a day if I would do it again. The biggest problem was finding out how to best rigg it. Tuning the rigging took a couple of extra days :) Once the ...

Thank you funksmaname! The film will take place in the Swedish province of Värmland, and this song/melody is Värmlands antheme called "Ack Värmeland du sköna" or "Värmlandsvisan. This particular score is made by Göteborgs symfonietta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzMLnreaUrg For the...

If I might be so bold may I ask if the talons are are finished in regard to their animation? I would have expected them to tuck up and close more as they push the bird off the stump. http://charleskenway.com/anime/ravensfoot.gif P.S. what did you generate the sky with it is very effective? Well spo...

Ok, here goes! The first part of Scene1 of my feature "Nim´s journey" is almost finished. This will be where the titles are shown, I have just thrown in a couple of texts just to get the feeling for it. There are some errors, some small changes to the images has to be made and the sound is...

funksmaname - Yes, it would indeed have a similar effect, but I also had to scale the width of the beak aswell, and I am not sure you can do that with bones, can you? Slowtiger - I agree, organizing everything on frame 0 seems to be the way to do it. I feel I am still a bit of a beginner in this pro...

Thanks, I tried it out, but it screwed the rigging up. Yet I used your method to great success as follows. As I had the bird placed on a bone layer I could use the rotate layer tool to rotate the whole layer and its origin to the right position, then I used the rotate bone tool to counter rotate the...

"local" set origin

I am trying to figure out how to set the origin of a group of shapes different to the layer they are placed in. In this case the layer is rotated, and when I in this example would like to scale the beak of the bird (see image below) sideways, the bounding box is rotated because the origin of the lay...

Thanks everyone, I will keep on working on the intro. Human, thanks for the tip. You are so right in your perception, I will think of this, yet it depends a little on the light of the scene aswell. I don´t want it to stick out to much. I have just started a blog about this project, if anyone would b...

Hi there and thanks. Regarding the flapping of the wings I do agree upon the unatural movement, and I will work on that. Those clips are just roughs. I have been studying the flapping of crows, and then the up-flap is quicker than the down-flap. They need to pull upp the wings as quick as possible n...

Raven

Hi there, just would like to share some work. I have been modeling a Raven and it will be used in the inroduction of a feature that I am working on. The motions are still very rough and not very fluent. Two short clips. Raven flight cycle: www.goober.nu/journey/forum/Proboard/video/video3.html Raven...

Problems with reparenting bones.

Hi! I have a couple of delicate questions. I am in the middle of creating a bird with anime, it is a fairly complex rigging as I am using a lot of feathers. My problems are with the wings. I would like the feathers to fold togeather at the same time as the the wing fold, and I thought I should be us...
