cost of living IS a lot lower. Outsourcing animation to India can be as little as 1 / 10th the cost of having it done in the US. Remember, there are over half a billion people in India in poverty. I would imagine the listed rate is pretty fair pay for most cities there. Still, it is self-financed. h...

10000 rupees = 208 usd 40000 rupees = 832 usd That's allot for a days work! :) Guild: Key Assistant Animators, USA, get around $38/hr for the first eight hours. Overtime after that-10 hr day is standard in Los Angeles. Most of the lower pay animators hover in the $25-28 per hour range. Digital anim...

I agree with the too disjointed comment. It feels like an animatic.

Looks like you did a bunch of cycles, and stuck them together. It doesn't really have a visual 'flow'.

Otherwise, it's fun, and sort of works.

Interesting that there's mention of not having kids but still supporting the educational system. That's so 'now'. Society paid taxes for my education. I see no reason not to pay taxes for education now. And, I do have a child, who is in a private school (who doesn't benefit directly from the educati...

Brooke, You seem to have answered your own dilemma. You realize that everyone wants slick maya, etc.. You should, of course move on. There's not much use in learning to be a scribe if no one wants or needs a scribe, right? Maybe you just move on, and cut your losses now. Everyone wants to eat, after...

Matlab gives me 288 typed in as written. My calculator (hp50g) gives 288 when entered as written.

Why do you want to know?

Pre WWII might put it in public domain (if no one renewed the copyright-quite possible). but, in the USA, if it's still under copyright, then you'll be infringing if it's still identifiable. http://www.conceptart.org/copyright/ has a powerpoint presentation that illustrates some of this. http://copy...

No. Just looks flat and hazy. If you're going to do it at all, make the stream of light more definite. Some of it's from compression, but some is inherent: I'd also make the whole thing a little contrastier. Attached example was burned and dodged. See how the background is a little 'snappier'? It's ...

Sounds like your computer isn't up to playing full quality HD. YouTube compresses further for streaming. How fast a processor, and how much RAM? 5400 RPM hard drive? (faster, slower?). It all matters. Vista has a fair amount of overhead all on its own. Further system specs can get you some suggestio...

I'm not clear on what the problem is. Laggy in Premiere, laggy final movie, laggy something else? My guess is that the final output, h.264 is 'laggy'. If so, that's probably because something in your system isn't powerful enough to stream an HD quicktime. If your processor isn't up to it, it can't d...

it seems that Toonboom wants me to draw every frame (?cell). Correct. Different way of animating. Rather than trying software and looking at price, it might be advantageous to describe what you want to do, and why. There are other bits of software out there that do animation as well. Something else...

Delete Shape: Using this tool, click on a fill or outline to delete it from the project. Remember, in Anime Studio, the shape of an object is separate from its appearance. If you use this tool to delete a fill, the underlying points and curves will remain. If you want to delete those as well, go bac...

I didn't see any notice of X11 or Wine on their site when going to download it. If I had, it would have been a different experience. It certainly didn't work well enough for me to bother with. And, it's a little disconcerting that they don't tell you this stuff up front. The Mac experience did not i...

I don't have a problem doing what you're describing in ASP. Works fine here, pretty much as described in the other posts. Perhaps you should try to remove and reload the software. Sometimes things go awry on your hard drive. The interface is just idiosyncratic. If you'd been using it since v. 5, you...

sounds like x4 is the superior product. Why not just use that and abandon Anime Studio?

AS has a learning curve, and it's not a 'standard' interface. Drove me nuts for about a month, now it's only mildly annoying. What version are you using? (debut, pro, 5,6,7?)
