Re: (PAID) 2D Animator in Toon Boom

Toon Boom what? (Studio, Harmony, Animate, one of the 'boom' packages?)

Interesting that you posted for Toon Boom animators in a 'competing software' forum.

Where are you on the planet?

Re: Cat walk cycle, review needed please.

Cat's feet are slipping, Body motion is virtually nonexistent, Joints are doing strange, unnatural things. Tail is doing strange non-cat things.

Actually, it's not a cat at all, is it? Almost everything is wrong with it, animation-wise. Look at a video of a cat walking, and compare.

.... So the minimum you must plan for is to pay him about 2500.- € a month - we all need to pay rent and taxes. Adds up to 7500.- for a 3 min video - but we haven't considered any design, rigging, background artwork yet, not to mention storyboard, compositing, digital transfers etc. You'd work for ...

Re: big thanks for the forum upgrade! (and a little wishlis

On my browser(s) the unread messages icon is red. A little too subtle for me. I couldn't find a control to change it. I'd appreciate it if it was more 'blatant'. Also, what if you're red/green colorblind? I don't know if you could tell the difference between read and non-read discussions at all. (R ...

Any profit from Jobs here?

I was wondering if anyone has actually profited from jobs listed here? Employees or Employers. Seems most of them are low budget or otherwise constrained. It would appear that the main value of this board is so people can be informed of the reality of production costs. But, perhaps that's not necess...

Throw a rock in LA or New York-There's a good chance it will hit an ad agency.

What kind of budget do you have for advertising? That will have an effect on where to go. Why do you think they need to be based in LA or NY?

Well, lacking vectors, you might as well just up the resolution and export a .psd or targa or whatever and print from that. Or, you could try to download Flash from Adobe, and run it in trial mode for a month (and hope that it allows for this sort of use). I have no idea if it will work with Inkscap...

I just exported AS to .swf. Created a new project in Flash. Imported the .swf file. Select all, copy. Opened Illustrator, Paste-vectors came in. Lines and fills.

What size are you rendering? What codec? How much compression is involved? Say that, then it's easier to direct you what you might change to reduce render times. Personally, I find a render farm works wonders. Even two junky old machines get things done faster than one. Thrift stores, people discard...

forgot this bit:

Anime Studio does require a certain logic to understand the user interface. I find it a bit convoluted, but many think it's straight-forward and simple. Not difficult, it's just an adjustment.

I agree with funksmaname. Amusing, but it takes more effort than I'm willing to put forth to figure out what's going on with Apple'E'ed2. But, based on what was said in the video: 24 fps and your frame count are accurate, but if you're using Anime Studio, you probably aren't drawing every element fo...

Interesting that you posted this on a 2D board. What's the end purpose of this? Here goes: Little annoyances: Color bars and title card at head. Why do we need an explanation of who the good/bad guys are? The spot needs to stand on its own. Watermark throughout. Incoherent. What point are you trying...

My daughter (9 years old) and I watched that, and were both unimpressed. Looks like young kids did the animation. Pes animations are generally cheesy, but at least they try to be clever. If kids did that, I guess it's OK. If not, there's not much excuse for it, is there? My daughter certainly does b...

Thus, this audience isn't necessarily TVP's target audience, initially . You were saying that because there is no low-end version of TV Paint, that this is the wrong forum to be talking about it in, right? No. I was only referring to TVPaint's [quoted] comment about your "passion having a pric...
