Re: Two handed swing of a club
A couple more things to consider: Make sure the bone animation path is set to visible. This is how I checked that the arc of the golf club looked right. If this was for an actual project, I might put an extra bone in the club to make it bend/curve. This would make the stroke look smoother and strong...

Re: Two handed swing of a club
Here's one way... https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ljvpg360y23z8k/golfer.gif?raw=1 Download Moho file: golfer.moho I created two target bones parented to the golf club bone. Then I keyframed the targeting of the lower arm bones (not the hands) to the corresponding golf club bone targets just before I star...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
To keep this in perspective, at work we also use Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate and Adobe After Effects in addition to Moho Pro (12.5) for puppet animations. All of these programs have their individual strengths and weaknesses, and there are times when I need to mix them together to get the result...

Re: Cartoon Animator 4 (CT4)
Like Mike, I've been dabbling with Cartoon Animator too. When I bought it, I wasn't looking for a replacement for Moho 12.5 at all because I use Moho successfully where I work and I still like using it in some of my personal projects. That said, CA offers some intriguing rigging and motion editing f...

Re: Rotating bone slows the program
Just supporting what Wes wrote above: to me, this sounds like you have an unintended negative keyframe in your project. I used to have to fix this error manually, which is a pain in the butt, but his script solves the problem very easily. Definitely give it a try! Just be sure to work from a copy of...

Re: Klaus Lighting Tutorial & Moho Lighting
Just before Klaus premiered on Netflix, Sergio Pablos and James Baxter did a presentation about the film at the studio where I work, and they talked about the production's workflow and techniques. Generally speaking, a lot of clever tricks were employed, often by combining varying degrees of CG, dig...

Yes, I hope a Smith Micro representative can pop in and respond to Moho users with some kind of assurance. I'm obviously a big fan of the software and I'd like to keep using it.

Re: 'Little Green Dog Explains' Videos List
Shoot! Now I'm seeing that error. So I had to rebuild my workstation computer and reinstall Windows 10, and now I'm re-installing Moho 12. The latest installer I have is 12.4, so I installed that and tried to update to 12.5 with the built-in updater. Sadly, I'm seeing the same 'Are you sure you're c...

Re: Cant start Moho 12.5 on new rig
BTW, in the License Manager there is an option called Permanent License. Be careful of clicking this if you don't know what 'Permanent License' actually means. My understanding is that installing a permanent license means Moho will allow you to use an 'offline' key that doesn't check-in with the ser...

Re: Cant start Moho 12.5 on new rig
Some info about the Moho License Server and how to recover your serial number and 'lost' activations... Because I seriously crashed my desktop computer a few weeks ago and had to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch, I lost my activations for Moho 12 and 13 on that computer. This wasn't an immediate pr...

Re: Moving layers in an animation front to back?
Oh, and you're probably wondering: Duplicate or Reference? This depends on how complicated you want the setup to be and how you want to edit your work. In my opinion, it's simpler to use a Duplicate, and if I ever change one of the layers, I copy the changes over into the duplicate layer or I just m...

Re: Moving layers in an animation front to back?
If you want to do this inside a Smart Bone Action, I find it's better not change the layer order but, instead, animate the visibility of duplicate layers. For example, if you have an arm that rotates in front of the torso group, duplicate or create a reference for of the arm's group layer and move t...

Re: follow path
Thanks for posting the the additional info MrMiracle77. I totally forgot to mention the rotation option. :) Your post makes me want to clarify something I wrote and add something else: When I said to keep in mind that the Follow Path tool uses the layer's origin, I should have said it uses the layer...
